When asked what we would change in the past, going blank isn't a lack of regret—it’s the brain's realization that you cannot unspool a lifetime of hardship.

A colleague asked us today: "If you could go back in time, what would you change?"

My friends had answers ready immediately. Some said they’d change their parents' lives so they wouldn't have to suffer through so many hardships. My own family has survived endless struggles, too—our path hasn't been easy by any means.

Yet, when asked, my immediate reaction was just: "I don't know... nothing."

My mind completely glitched. A part of me felt like, “What’s the point? Nothing can actually change in reality anyway.” And another part felt like if I started picking apart our hardships, where would I even stop? There are too many things.

Why does the brain shut down the idea of changing the past instead of wanting to fix past struggles? Is this emotional numbness, a defense mechanism, or radical acceptance? What is the deeper psychology behind this reaction?

RMLU Convocation day; How I won a Gold Medal and still got treated like an uninvited wedding guest

So yesterday was my University Convocation, and as a Mater's topper from Ayodhya , I was actually excited to finally get my Gold Medal.
Spoiler alert: RMLU proved once again why they are the absolute Kings of Mismanagement .

here is how my " my special day " actually went down:

No seats for toppers: We reached the venue, only to find out the auditorium was already full. Gold medalists weren't even allowed entry because they did not reserve enough seats for us. Humiliation level 100.

The gown scams: At first , i thought the special convocation gown( the so called scarf which they gave us in the name gown ) was just for the toppers. Nope. It's for everyone. To make it funnier, while we were shoved into the second hall, teachers were actively arguing the red-bordered gowns, saying," give me that red vala scarf " A thought ran in to my mind . Are they going to ask us to give them ours . because everything is possible there .

The protest: After students started recording videos, posting online, and litterely protesting outside side, they finally let us into the main hall around 11:30AM .

The medal Marathon: Did we get our medals on stage? hah. OF COURSE NOT . They sent us to an office building. The office told us to go back auditorium. We were running back and forth like lost dogs just to get the degree we worked years for .

Guards golden work: When we complained about the chaos, the security guard casually hit us with: " yeh ( medal/degree) toh aapko kabhi bhi mil sakta hai, chahe kitne mahino baad aaye?" Brother, WHAT? (hamare adhe jale khoon ko inhone pura sukha hi diya bhai )

The final blow: By 1:00 pm , I finally got my degree. But the real heartbreak? I ordered a brand new white dress specially for this day. During the lunch rush chaos , someone spilled sabji all over it. arrggg. On top of that, because got cleared so late, most of the food was already gone.

Finally finished my masters, but please... never go by RMLAU's outer looks. Never seen a management this clueless in my entire life.
Anyway, officially a gold medalist now- completed with a ruined white dress and emotional damage .

Going to RML for convocation tomorrow do we REALLY have to follow dress code or can we wear normal clothes?

Hey everyone ,

Is anyone else heading to RML for convocation tomorrow ? I need to know how strict they actually are about this whole dress code thing for gold medalists.
Can't we just wear something normal and comfortable for once without stressing over matching specific traditional wear or formal outfit rules ? Has anyone ever tried wearing regular clothes or casual fits ,or will they literally stop you from getting your medal on stage?

Let me know if its super strict or people usually get away with it . Really don't want any last minute panic or embarrassment !

Starting out with zero experience in my brothers new travel agency startup- Should I take this on? ( I will not promote )

Hey everyone, I could really use some advice on a tricky family and a carrier situation.
my brother just started new tour and travel agency . Right now, it's just a small team with me and two of my brothers .

My brothers are handling some operations, and the others handle other tasks , but he wants me to manage (not forcing by the way ) marketing process for the agency .

The catch is: I have no real work experience yet. I only have little bit of basic knowledge . consider me as a trainee who just started working on real tasks in another company .

instead of a fixed salary right now we are supposed to share profit as the business grows.
but I m terrified that I don't know enough to actually run and manage marketing for a paying client and or a new business .

I m sure I can handle this but there is something in me is saying to know some corporate rules , works , and how to handle , I mean how to communicate , how to lead things and all that .

How do I manage the pressure of leading a marketing process with zero experience, and is a profit share startup a good first step or a disaster waiting to happen ?
Any advice would mean a lot

Written 200+ chapters, right at the happy ending, but I've hit the wall and feel completely drained. How do I finish this ?

Hey everyone, I need some perspective because I'm feeling stuck and honestly frustrated with myself. I've been writing a story for over five months now, and I'm right at the end- the happy resolution -and yet, I physically cannot bring myself to write this final chapter to wrap it up cleanly. This is not the first time either. Across all three my web novels , I struggle immensely with keeping stories concise. I tend to write very long-form narratives, and by the time I reach the ending, my readers get frustrated with with the pacing , and I end up completely mentally exhausted.

Right now, between real-life pressure and burnout, I feel zero momentum to write this last chapter. Part of me worries I m just being lazy, but another part feels completely empty creatively.
Have some questions for those who write long-form series or web serials:

  • How do you force yourself through the final stretch when burnout sets in ?
  • How do you learn to write tighter, shorter stories so you don't burnout by chapter 200 every time ?
  • Should I just take a break and make my readers wait, or force out the final chapter just to give them closure

Any advice from fellow writers who have faced this .. or its just me everytime.

After so many dark days , I'm finally starting to see the way forward.

I'm 24 years old, and after what feels like an endless streak of difficult days, I can finally say I'm seeing the path ahead of me.

Three weeks ago, I took a leap of faith and invested in a training program designed to prepare me for the workforce. Honestly , I did not know what to expect , but it has completely changed my outlook. For the first time in a very long time, I have hope.

I don't know exactly what the future holds or where this specific path take me, but I'm just following it day by day. The biggest shift isn't even just knowledge - it's the confidence .I finally believe in myself enough to know that I will definitely do something meaningful with my life .
Before this, I felt completely in the dark. I didn't know much about how the professional world worked. But being here, the fog is clearing. I'm finally starting to understand how things actually work behind the scenes.

It's an entirely different feeling from where I was just a months ago. To anyone else out there who feels stuck at 24: keep looking fir your path. sometime it just takes finding the right stepping stone to change your whole perspective.

Lost an entire chapter overnight because PC failed to save. I m completely devastated. How do I start over .

Ugh, I m absolutely losing my mind right now. How do you guys find the strength to rebuild from scratch when your hard work gets completely wasted like this ?

last night, I stayed up half the night sacrificing my sleep to write an entire chapter. I poured everything into it. When I finally finished , I felt that amazing, relaxed relief of a job well done. I saved the file, closed it , and went to bed .

This afternoon, I woke up opened my computer, and everything I wrote LAST NIGHT IS COMPLETELY GONE.

My-piece-of-shit PC apparently decided it did not want to actually save my work. It's like the computer just lost its mind and decided to wipe out my hours of my exhaustion and effort. I honestly feel traumatized how much hard work I m forcing out of myself just for this trash machine t delete it.

The worst part ? This the second time this happen to me .
How the hell do you summon the patience to do the work AGAIN when you have already done it twice? How do you mentally recover and force your self back to the keyboard when you just want to quit ?

The biggest gap I see in freshers resume right now.

I've been working as a recruiter in the digital marketing space lately, and it's given me a clear view of the ,"no experience , no job" loop that so many freshers get stuck in .
The truth is, companies aren't just looking for degrees anymore; they are looking for practical, on-the-job capability.

Because I see this struggle daily, I've been working closely with our team to help bridge that gap. We have some structured programs specifically designed to get people past that entry level hurdle by focusing on the actual technical skills digital marketing agencies need right now.

My goal is not just to fill seats; it's to help people build the portfolio and the confidence they need to actually land a job.
If you are currently job searching and feel like you are missing that "practical edge," Let's talk. I'm happy to share details on how these programs are structured and whether they align with your carrier goals.

Feel free to comment or reach out if you're interested in learning more.

Looking for book recommendations to spark inspiration and help me brainstorm story ideas !

Hi.. everyone,

After looking previous advices from all of you guys ,I think, first I need to read some solid inspirational books to help me generate and flesh out my ideas.

Could you suggest some books that really helped you spark your creativity, master the art of plotting, or just made you think, "Wow, I want to write something as brilliant as this"?

I'm open to two types of recommendations:

  1. Fiction books with incredible word-building, unique concepts, or mind-blowing plot twists that make you want to write.

  2. Non-fiction books on writing/creativity (like Stephen King's On Writing) that offer great actionable advice on how to pull ideas out of your head.

Thanks in advance for your help !

I can write for 3 hours straight, but if my routine breaks for One day, it take weeks to recover. Help ?

Hey everyone,. I have noticed a frustrating pattern in my writing habits:

> The good; When I actually start, I have great stamina . I can write for 2-3 hour consistently and finish chapters.

>The bad : I am hyper-dependent on my environment and having absolute peace of mind.

If I finish a chapter today, I struggle immensely to write the next day because my mind feels "fed up" or overwhelmed by daily life. Once that daily consistency breaks, my interest plummets, and it takes forever to build the momentum.

How do you rebuild your writing momentum after a break? And how do you protect your "mind peace" so you can write daily ? Any advice is welcome.

Have you ever become emotionally attached to a character you created ?

A s a writer, we spend so much time with our characters that sometimes they stop feeling fictional and start feeling real.

Have you ever become emotionally attached to a character you created? What made the character so special? Was it their personality, their journey , or something completely unexpected?

I'd love to hear your stories and experiences.

If you had ₹10,000 to market a local startup, where would you spend it

Many local startups have great ideas but struggle to reach the right audience.

If you could give one digital marketing tip to a new local business, what would it be?

Whether you are a founder, freelancer, marketer, or customer. I'd love to hear what strategies you have seen work in the real world.
