Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like there’s a noticeable difference between those of us born before at least 04’ and those born in 2005–06 and after. I genuinely don’t relate to them that much.

Obviously we’re technically the same generation, but I feel like even a couple of years makes a difference when it comes to the things we grew up with, the internet, social media, childhood experiences, music, slang, etc.
and sometimes when I talk to someone born in 2005 or 2006 I’m like… we did NOT grow up the same.

It might just be my surroundings but I only ever often come across people born in 05, 06 , 07 and 08.

Going to the show on the 31st, and whilst I’m grateful to have even gotten a ticket, I’d also love to get an even better view if possible! Does anyone know if they’ll be doing upgrades at the show?

I had a really bad lesson today and nearly caused an accident. I know it was my fault, and I do understand why my instructor shouted at me, but I’ve realised that when someone shouts at me I completely shut down and switch off from the lesson, even if I understand what they’re saying.

I’ve really struggled with my lessons in general, especially roundabouts, and sometimes I genuinely wonder if there’s something wrong with me because I find it so difficult to concentrate when someone is constantly talking to me. I actually find that I drive much better when there’s silence or when my instructor gives me instructions without talking continuously.

I’ve also had a really rough couple of days because of personal stuff and I’m exhausted, so I probably wasn’t in the best headspace for the lesson anyway. After what happened today, I just wasn’t mentally in it and ended up getting out of the car and walking away. I feel awful about it now.

I do think my instructor is an okay instructor overall, so I’m not sure what to do. Should I message him to book another lesson and just try again? Or should I take a bit of time before getting back in the car? I’m worried that after today I’m going to lose confidence completely.

New at Sainsbury’s but so far I’ve only been trained on tills and self-checkout. I’ve seen some overtime shifts available at other stores for Customer Experience, and I’m tempted to pick one up.
Would it be a stupid idea if I’m not fully trained yet? Do they usually expect you to know everything, or will they give you jobs you’re capable of doing?

Hi everyone! I’m a first year who hasn’t really found anyone to room up with for next year and this is my last resort if anyone needs an extra housemate or anything. I’ve tried fab and fresh but haven’t had responses so far I assume this is mainly because it’s so late in the year. I’d preferably be looking for housing with all girls but open to mixed houses too

I really need to find work soon to keep a roof under my head the problem is my car no longer works and I can’t really access public transportation easily so really limited unfortunately

Bit late to the house search for second year, I’m a first year (F) moving into second year and still looking for people to get a house with.
