Guys, hear me out on this one.
Let's say a zombie apocalypse starts and your hot neighbor turns into a zombie. Would it be wrong if you tried to smash? I know zombies are the "living dead," so since they are technically moving and "alive" in a way, would it still count as necrophilia?
This is probably a stupid question, but how can zombies distinguish each other? I know that in The Walking Dead, walkers can smell humans and ignore other walkers that smell like rot. But how do zombies in other movies and shows identify each other? Do they follow the same premise, or are some zombies connected like a hive mind?

As I mentioned in my earlier post, my original goal was to watch every single zombie movie and TV show out there. Honestly? I’ve realized that’s probably impossible. I don’t want to burn myself out by forcing myself through a ton of bad or generic media (no disrespect to anyone's hard work and creation, of course!). The reason I'm being so selective now is that I’m currently creating and writing my own zombie manga, and I really want it to be good. I'm putting a lot of heart into it and I’m genuinely terrified of messing it up. Because of that, I’m looking for two things from you guys:

Recommendations: Please recommend some good zombie movies, anime, and TV shows. I'm interested in ones that you personally think are great, or even flawed ones that just have a really good premise or a unique concept that makes them worth analyzing.

Writing Advice: Please speak your mind! Just like last time, tell me what you love or hate about the zombie genre. What do you think I should and shouldn't add to my manga? What are your biggest pet peeves, and what makes a zombie story truly stand out to you? I would love to hear your thoughts and favorites. Thanks in advance!

I'm developing a zombie manga because I miss the early 2000s Golden age of zombies. Back then, zombies were at the top of the charts in movies, comics and games. They were everywhere, and I want to bring that back from the dead.

I'm not doing this for money I can get a job elsewhere for that. I'm doing this because I want to and because zombies are my absolute favorite monsters in fiction. One of the main reasons I'm starting this project is High school of the dead. The manga and anime were both incredible in my opinion, and the fact that the creator passed away and the story will never continue makes me sad.

Zombies are so simple, yet so brilliant when done right. I want to create something truly great that the community will love. I know i will face criticism along the way, and I am fully ready to litsen and learn.

My initial plan was to watch every single zombie movie and TV show, play every game and read every comic so I could implement the best elements in my own creation. While that is probably a bit too much I genuinely want this to be great. Watching trailers for the new movie The Colony and reading the new Marvel Zombies comics fuels my passion even more. I even spoke with my mother about this, and she told me: "You will never know if you don't try."
