Man with Van Recommendations

Looking for a man (or other gender) with a van for 1st or 2nd November to move a few large furnishings from our flat to our new house. Less than 15 min journey and should only need a couple of trips.

Basically wanting to see if someone will do it for less than the cost of hiring a van myself (around £70-90 for a day). Should only need them for a couple of hours.

Thanks

Contrast Stitch Logo Sweatpants

Bought a pair in 2021 that are unfortunately about to fall apart.

They are the comfiest sweatpants / joggers ive ever owned. Nothing ive bought since compares or fits as well.

I can't find a replacement pair anywhere, wanted to know if there's anywhere I can find old stock or if someone has a pair they're willing to sell (XL). Or if Golf sweats / joggers released since have similar fit and quality.

They're the only Golf item ive bought and went though a painful import process so want to make sure I'm buying the right product before buying again.

Thanks.

Southeast Sheffield

I'll start by saying I've always lived in Northwest Sheffield (barring a couple of years as a student in S2) and currently live in cheap S10.

For medical reasons I've had to reduce my hours at work, and therefore need to reduce my living expenses. I'm looking to rent in Southeast Sheffield, looking at Hackenthorpe specifically.

What's the area like in comparison to the likes of Crookes and Hillsborough? Should I be looking elsewhere for cheaper property? I'd like to remain within an hour of town on public transport and I'm looking for a 1 or 2 bed with a garden in a quiet area. Noise is my number 1 issue, ideally needs to be super quiet. Budget approx £900 pcm.

Cheers

Mortgage Questions

So my partner and I are beginning the thought process of buying a house. See below details:

We each earn in the ballpark of £15,000 pre tax (both part time 3 days)

We have no credit history besides the basics (~6 years private rental history each). Neither of us have ever had a credit card, loan or been in debt besides student loans.

Houses around us are an average of around £200,000. We can afford the first-time buyer 5% deposit, possibly up to 15% with family help. We are in our early 20s so would be looking at a longer term mortgage.

Is this feasible? Would we be able to get a mortgage based on our current finances?

Thanks

Host Migration

This game is such a massive nostalgia trip in general, but you know what fully triggered my nostalgia? The first host migration.

I had fully filtered host migrations out of my memories of the game then I got my first one and everything came flooding back.

What a game.

Ghoul "food"

What's the best way to increase glow as a ghoul? I have no issues with feral because of the legendary perk.

I increase glow at the moment with toxic water, but that feels too easy? Like it's ridiculously abundant and each bottle(?) fills about 1/3 of my glow bar with that one perk that increases rads from food.

I feel like it should be harder considering how little food/drink fills you as a human. Not complaining obviously but how do people fill their glow without using toxic water?

Full house renovation specialists

I have recently inherited a 5 bed semi in Walkley that I intend to live in but it needs a lot of work. Effectively everything internal needs replacing, walls, floors, even the roof. I'd also like to tank the cellar.

Firstly, has anyone had a similar project and can give me a ballpark on pricing? I understand there's a lot of variables but if you've fully renovated a house in the last 5 ish years it would be helpful to know approximately what you paid.

Secondly, if you have done similar (or have knowledge of the work that needs doing) is this something a single contractor can do or would I have to get multiple in?

I'm planning to re-mortgage the house to pay for it, which should give me a working budget of around £250,000.

Thanks!

Lamine Yamal will end up like R9

Obviously exceptionally talented players, Yamal will win a ballon dor before turning 20 but struggle with injuries and never truly reach the levels and longevity of Messi/Ronaldo.

Having played over 150 top level games at 18 has got to mess with your body. When you look at players who avoid major injuries and play into their late 30s, most of them were eased into senior football in their late teens not thrown into it at 16/17 like Yamal, R9, Pato, Alli, etc.

I think if he avoids injury he will be the best ever, but they're already starting for him. Seems to be a recent trend with La Masia graduates unfortunately.

Trying to make career mode realistic is a lost cause

Just let go. Enjoy the game for what it is - an arcade style football simulator. It was never made to be realistic, you can't make it realistic.

This year more than ever EA have shown absolutely no willingness to pander to offline players, and with FM being so bad there is no alternative, especially for console players. If you want a (relatively) bug free and enjoyable contemporary football game, FC26 is all there is.

All you can do is make it fun for you. Accepting that it won't ever be realistic will make the game so much more enjoyable.

Please just try to have fun and stop getting so upset every time something changes. It's not good for your health and it's only a game.
