Sir Darius Mendax, pilot of the Knight Valiant “Tidal Wave”
Sir Draven is a second cousin to Princess Penelope Friedrich but has been in her life so long that she simply calls him uncle. Draven is the gatekeeper of Castle Westmorland and a member of King Atticus Friedrich’s court. Draven takes his role of protecting the castle very seriously, often ignoring the advise of the spirits in his throne mechanicum to save himself in order to shield the houses and farms of the peasantry he has sworn to safeguard. When not at war, Draven mostly patrols the coasts on the many islands on Arctan, watching for and guarding against the many aquatic megafauna that stalk the Fellwaves or the seemingly endless hordes of pirate gangs on the waters. He is an enthusiastic player of Fishing, despite his conflagration cannon being useless underwater, and has slain many great beasts with his harpoon. The anchor painted on his suit’s carapace armour shows that he has survived a storm at sea.
