Help Piloting N's Zoroark
I played Slowking and LOVE it. Comboing and sequencing properly is addicting. However, it's one dimensional and repetitive. Also, it can gas out which I don't love. I'm also suspicious of it teaching bad habits.
Enter Zoroark. Played for hours straight after getting it going. It feels pretty free form, adaptive and tome is such a cool tech. At the same time though, it feels so easy to fall behind and lose if you can't stall properly. A single misplay (lots of potential to do so) seems like it can cost the whole game. I know this deck is not for beginners.
I also feel like Zoroark's offensive capabilities just aren't strong enough at times, it feels hard to pull off the damage to KO some of the beeg megas.
So I guess what I want to know is:
1. Does slowking teach bad habits, would it be better to learn Zoroark?
I guess I'm prize mapping proeprly. With Slowking, I don't feel like there's a real back and forth with trading prizes. Losing a single doesnt feel punishing with generally being able to take 2-3 a turn. The only real pain point is losing Khang vs Lucario, or trading VS single prize decks.
2. What do I generally want my bench to look like?
I generally aim for:
Zoroark Active
1 Zorua/Ark
Zekrom
Pech
Darmanitan
2 flex spots being 3rd Zorua/Ark if necessary, Munki. Meowth. Yveltal. Budew. Going to try Resh as well.
Tome as needed.
Is this generally the idea?
3. Is Zoroark's damage supposed to feel on the lower side?
Okay, typing this out, I just realized, I'm definitely not using Pech/Mochi/Munkidori like, at all. In a turn, I should be putting out 320 with Zekrom and 120 with Darmanitan.
My usual go to is to float between Zoroarks with Rampaging Thunder. Is that correct? Should Pech be a back up attacker?
4. When should I be setting up Dharrmannitan?
Is it every game? Early? Late? Situational? It feels awkward to set up it. Should I be burning my pokepads/ultra balls for it or just hope I draw into it?
I think that's all the questions I have.
