Returning player, a couple questions about starting out again.

  1. I know flat damage on gear won't affect spells, but added precentage does right? Like +50% enhanced damage will increase the damage of my warlock fire spells?

  2. Not sure if I should be trying to farm a bunch of runes once I get to that tower in act one? Are there rune word items people typically try to get going as soon as possible? Playing a fire spell/apocalypse and bind demon warlock. I was told the Insight staff would be good to shoot for.

  3. What exactly is a ladder? I played before they started. Are there like 'season mechanics' going on? I notice many rune words have a ladder tag, I'm assuming they are available as long as I'm playing the ladder?

Any general advice you feel like would be helpful is appreciated! I feel like i completely forgot how to play this game lol.

Looking to follow the Maxroll evade Counterswarm build, but not seeing where resource generation comes from to build resolve stacks.

https://maxroll.gg/d4/build-guides/evade-counterswarm-spiritborn-guide

The build uses the "gain resolve for every X primary resource gained over max" aspect on legs as it's main source of building resolve, but without a basic skill or any "resource per second" affixes I don't see where we are getting the resource to generate resolve. Is it just from passive regeneration? I get that the build doesn't spend its resource, but I figured it would need some kind of generator to keep resolve stacks high.

Also how high can the Damage Reduction from Glen's Anvil (gain DR per resolve stack) actually go? At 20 stacks without ga tempers or masterwork thats already 80% (with highest roll on aspect) and it can obviously go much higher. Do you really become unkillable?

Protean Heart clarification. Is "base spirit of a skill" one that maintains its original spirit type?

So for protean heart, casting a skill that isn't converted to a new spirit type (eagle, gorilla, etc) will give the appropriate bonus, while casting a skill that is converted will increase your core stats by 100% for 7 seconds?

How dead is my hope that they continue remaking the original trilogy? I thought the first one was fairly successful?

Every few months I have the realization that I haven't heard any news about them continuing the remakes. The first three games are some of my favorite of all time... but it's never happening is it? Even just in adding the flair did I realize that its already been 10 years... I would settle for a new main title, though that's already been 5 years.

Why do I keep seeing that I have a certain value for an aspect when going to imprint, but the final value on my gear is lower?

This has been happening with a few different aspects, where it shows it shows my aspect value at a certain level (In this picture, 'you gain 149% total armor'). Then when I go to imprint it, I get a lower value on the gear (here is 'you gain 125% total armor')?? Any ideas? I don't think this has ever happened to me in previous seasons.

Mad Wolf Idol should be a better unique affix than Griswold's right? 50% crit vs 100+% increased damage seems straightforward.

Whelp, I managed to break my world to a point where it is unplayable. The moment I attack anything my game crashes.

Not sure there is anything I can do. There was somebody who posted here about a server with chests full of replenishing resources, and I wanted to make a giant base, so I went for wood and stone, and now my game is broken. I guess thats what I get. Any chance there is a way to like, make a new world with all of my quest progress saved? I really doubt I have the gumption to start all over.

Edit: Reinstalled and it seems to be working now thankfully!

I'm sorry if this gets asked a lot, but how is the campaign? Worth a f2p attempt for the sake of the lore?

Not sure why I haven't thought about giving it a go until now, but I love Diablo and would love to get more story/lore. I generally loathe mobile games, but I can play it on PC I learned.

I'm not expecting another d4 by any means, but is it worth it as a fan of Diablo to check out the game?

I'm assuming I'm the one missing information, but I don't get where this build is going. I would think the main source of damage here is thorns, so why are we building crit? I guess the explosion at the end of the juggernaut blessed shield should be able to crit, but is that worth the investment if your primary offense is the thorns part?

I'm also assuming that aspects like: "increased damage of juggernaut skills" or even "increased damage while fortified" wouldn't apply to thorns?

Bonus question: what does the Heir of Perdition helm actually do? It seems like its the only helmet anyone ever wears, it's gotta do more than just "x80% damage" to be that sought after, right? I don't understand the stealing something from other players thing.

Despite hearing nothing but bad things about Lightning storm Human builds, im trying it and so far cruising pretty good in T6 (Cataclysm eliminates enemies before i can even see them/big bolt lightning storm is pretty satisfying/strong too). With all the changes this season it's hard to really get good info on what uniques/aspects are out there. Wondering if there are uniques out there that I am unaware of that could be good. If you know who to farm it from that would be even better.

Thanks fellow Druids!

I am currently at work, but wanted to put this out there to possibly get a trade going this evening. I have 3/5 of the set and was wondering if I could trade for the rest. I will have to look at exactly which charms I need at home, but am not opposed to rerolling some of whatever someone has. I have most of one of the were bear sets and a few of the other were bear set, then two of the companion set if anyone is interested in any of those.

Let me know, and I can DM you when I'm off work

Title says is all.. but it really feels like light themed heavy armor is all they know how to make over there. Some of them are cool, sure... but it feels like I have 6 of practically the same get-up at this point.

Also some of my favorite skins were the non-armor skins like the pirate outfit or the guild artisan set.. bring stuff like that back please Blizzard.
