Dear Dentists/Ortho

Is it possible to have braces with missing teeth (4 lower), 1 upper? My molars are still in tact.

After installation, how many days po ang pain? Is it manageable. I have upcoming exams so Do I need to defer the installation or after exams na lang magpa brace?

May recos po kayo na dental clinic within San Miguel Manila/Sampaloc.

Hindi ako maka-focus sa work today kasi may thought na paulit-ulit na umiikot sa isip ko.

As the eldest daughter, matagal akong naging breadwinner while also supporting myself. For many years, halos lahat ng decisions ko naka-base sa responsibilities at kung paano makakatulong sa pamilya. This year lang talaga ako nagsimulang mag-focus ulit sa sarili ko. Early 40s na ako.

Honestly, na-enjoy ko naman ang buhay ko. Hindi nga lang sa way na nasolo ko ang sweldo ko o nabili ko lahat ng gusto ko. Madalas, ang mindset ko noon, "okay pa naman ito" o "hindi pa naman sira." Budget travel lang din, practical choices most of the time. And okay naman ako doon. Content naman ako.

Ngayon, nakikita ko mga officemates ko traveling here and abroad, buying new shoes, trying the latest trends, and living life the way they want. And to be clear, HINDI ako naiinggit. We all have different priorities. I know what matters to me and I don't feel deprived.

Ang medyo nakakairita lang minsan, may mga tao na parang tingin nila less ka because hindi ka ganoon ka-showy or hindi mo pinipili gastusin ang pera mo the same way they do. Parang may silent judgment na dahil hindi ka sumasabay sa lifestyle nila, may kulang sa'yo.

What they don't see is that some of us spent years carrying responsibilities they never had to carry. Some of us had to grow up earlier, give more, sacrifice more, and put ourselves last for a long time.

Wala naman akong regrets. In fact, proud ako sa mga naitulong ko at sa mga na-survive ko. Pero minsan napapaisip lang ako kung bakit may mga taong ang bilis mang-look down sa iba. Tangina lang eh. Tangina ng mga to.

At the end of the day, iba-iba naman tayo ng journey. Some people got to enjoy their earnings earlier. Some of us are only starting now. And that's okay. Hindi naman race ang buhay. 😊
