DIY Nasal Mucosa Transplant for dysbiosis

Anyone tried it/had experience or thoughts on the matter?

I think it's similar to Lactobacillus Sakei method since they are both based on introducing good bacteria into a dysbiotic microbiota to restore balance.

Does anyone have chronic swelling of nasal mucosa?

My ENT told me that I have swollen/inflamed nasal mucosa when he looked inside my nose and said that is the reason why the bad bacteria in my nose like Staph. Aureus have populated so much and are causing a chronic 1 year long infection which antibiotics don't help.

Any information or advice is appreciated.

Permanent 1 year long nasal MRSA infection

I'm 21M, 2 years ago I had MRSA in small numbers found on my nasal culture, I took antibiotic Cephalexin for 5 days as per sensitivity test and it went away.

Then a year after that I got Enterobacter, Klebsiella and again MRSA found on nasal swabs, on the last one it said Staph. aureus was 100% of culture. Only this time over the course of the year I was on 5+ different antibiotics (including Cephalexin, Ciprofloxacin, Bactrim and some others) taking high dose 10 day courses and I also took biofilm busters but I had 0 change in symptoms during or after antibiotics, even though bacteria showed sensitivity to them. Only boils sometimes seem to calm down or stop appearing during antibiotics, but my sinus symptoms were always zero change.

My symptoms are: shortness of breath, mucus stuck to my nasopharynx, thick sticky post-nasal drip, yellow/dark yellow mucus on nose blowing sometimes mixed with blood. Sometimes I also get boils on my stomach area. The symptoms have been constant for 1 year now, every single day, nothing I ever tried helped.

Can someone help me make sense of this? Any help is appreciated, the symptoms are limiting me very much in day to day life, especially the shortness of breath from constant infected post-nasal drip

Enterobacter spp., then Klebsiella spp., then Staphylococcus aureus, all in the span of 10 months

I'm suffering from constant chronic sinusitis every day for the last 10 months and over the lot of swabs I've been doing, these 3 bacteria were the ones that showed up, in that order, some multiple times, antibiotics had 0 effect on any. My main symptoms are constant pnd and mucus stuck to nasopharynx, throat tightness and yellow/brown mucus with sometimes a bit of blood. Staph. aureus was noted as being "100% of the culture" on my latest swab, by the way.

Can someone help me make sense of this?

When did you "turn a corner"?

I'm 21M, 5 months into floxing, feeling really discouraged as in the last 3 months my tendon issues seem to be getting neither better nor worse, just 0 progress in any direction, even though I have tried both resting for long periods and light eccentrics + isometrics rehab

Throat tightness and shortness of breath

I'm 21M, been suffering from chronic bacterial sinusitis with thick sometimes yellow PND for 1 year, no antibiotics ever helped. The shortness of breath follows me 24/7 and inhalers only help sligtly. I can hardly function anymore because I can barely get any air past my throat. Also while eating, chewing and swallowing it gets a little better, but after meal comes back immediately. Any advice or help is appreciated

Does anyone's breathing get better WHILE eating

While I'm eating I feel like I can get enough air and breathe normally and take less labored breaths but only while eating something, as soon as I stop chewing and swallowing the difficulty breathing returns. Does anyone know anything about this?

Why do rinses reduce chronic yellow mucus

Why do my neti pot 0.1% povodine iodine saline rinses reduce how much yellow mucus I blow out while antibiotics did absolutely nothing even though I was on 4 courses? How does that work? Is the infection getting killed? It is bacterial 1 year ongoing confirmed by swab

Anyone else have shortness of breath as their main/major symptom?

I have chronic 1 year long bacterial sinusitis with main symptoms being pnd and shortness of breath with wheezing. Wondering if anyone else has shortness of breath with throat wheezing on inhale as a main symptom, it seems to me that most people with chronic sinusitis don't deal with it and I'm wondering if I'm even dealing with chronic sinusitis or something deeper

Nasal version of SIBO theory

Could it be for us that have a chronic long-term bacterial sinus infection that either doesn't ever go away or goes away but comes back soon be caused by an overgrowth of bad bacteria in sinuses WITHOUT a lot of good sinus bacteria (that would explain why some people have great results with lactobacillus sakei, it seems to restore nasal microbiome balance in a lot of people). Similar to SIBO but the difference being that our nasal microboime is impacted, so more like sinus bacterial overgrowth (then again SIBO could theoretically also cause sinus issues since gut and mouth/sinuses are connected).

I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on this. I've been on so many antibiotocs and have done so many rinses to no avail. My next step is trying out the L. Sakei in my nose.

How good are sinus rinses actually for getting rid of stubborn chronic sinus infections compared to antibiotics?

Antibiotics have literally 0 effect on my sinuses, I have been swabbed with Enterobacter spp. and Klebsiella spp. in my nose multiple times for a year and been on antibiotics multiple times and there was 0 change, even on longer antibiotics courses. How effective would rinsing for a few weeks every day with 0.1% povodine-iodine/xylithol solution be as compared to taking an oral antibiotic? Anyone with experience who can offer some advice?

Chronic sinusitis started draining much more mucus and blood when blowing nose

I haven't even used any spray/rinse or blew my nose too much, the bloody mucus came out of nowhere, and it was from both nostrils. I have been swabbed with Enterobacter spp. and Klebsiella spp. in my sinuses and have been on 4 antibiotics but none of them changed my sysmptoms, I even used biofilm busters alongside them.

My main issues are debilitating shortness of breath and wheezing (possibly from PND irritation and mucus, and mucus that feels stuck to my nasopahrynx), and in the past few months I noticed I get random "histamine attacks" (completely clogged nose, puffy itchy eyes) sometimes, usually later in the day even though I wasn't exposed to any allergen and have been in my room all day, I don't know if this is connected. Doctors are of no help, and it's been going on for a year now. Any advice or helping me make sense of this is appreciated. I'm 21M if it means anything

Mysterious flare of histamine issues + SIBO

I have suspected SIBO with confirmed Klebsiella and Enterobacter overgrowth in my gut for 1 year. Since a few months ago, I started getting histamine reactions out of nowhere, at first I didn't even connect it to SIBO. I get puffy undereyes, totally blocked/runny nose, etc. I went keto 2 weeks ago and my histamine symptoms have lessened at least, and I have been eating the same food every day and doing mostly the same things every day, but since yesterday I have a huge histamine flare that had no apparent cause, I wasn't even exposed to anything I could be allergic to. Generally the histamine attacks come on randomly later during the day.

Can anyone offer some words of advice?

Does anyone wake up with a normal throat and breathing and it gets worse during the day, and isn't related to meals?

I find it really weird how I wake up breathing normally and having no throat mucus and irritation and over the first half an hour - hour from waking up it start accumulating and throat hurting when swallowing and shortness of breath too, also I find it weird how my symptoms aren't really influenced by meal times, they are just constant during the day, no matter if I eat 5 small meals or fast for 24 hours. Also what I find weird is how my symptoms aren't worse when laying down, they are just about the same.

Starting to wonder if LPR really is my issue. Can anyone offer me their thoughts? Does anyone experience the same things?

Is it normal to spit out food particles after meals after I aggressively hack and spit, or is it another symptom of LPR?

If it means anything, I'm on my 8th day of acid diet, and still after meals if I forcefully hack in my throat and spit it out there can be food particles seen in the spit, sometimes less, sometimes a lot. Does anyone else have the same symptom? Is it food getting stuck in throat, or food coming back up from the stomach?

Does having a low stomach acid while having LPR mean you can/should eat more acidic foods?

I have tried the baking soda test on an empty stomach and burped only after about 30 minutes, 2 mornings in a row. Is the low acid diet meaningless if you have low stomach acid or do the standard rules still apply?
