I don’t really do street in the traditional way, I prefer finding texture and light without people. I recently picked up a deeply discounted S9 with a 50/1.8, I wanted the lens for my SL2 and the deal made the S9 stupid cheap. I’m trying out the pictured arrangement to see if it works for me, the S9 is quite capable but I’m not a fan of using cameras without an eyelevel finder for stills. The vibe I get from using this is similar to shooting with my Leica 1(E). I have the camera set to full area AF and the screen and back buttons locked, I listen for the focus confirmation beep and “trust the force, Luke.” S9 with Sigma 35/2 and a SmallRig OVF.

I saw this today in Austin and fell in love. I wasn’t able to view the front to identify the maker or even confirm it was Kei width. I’m not finding trucks with this side window shape. Any ideas?

I had the M-P240 for 10+ years and the M246 for a year or so, but I finally had to accept that my eyes aren’t happy with rangefinder focusing anymore. I was to the point where I was using EVF2s almost 100% of the time, even with my 35. EVF2 is not the world’s best EVF, either - low resolution and iffy contrast. I already know I do well with a quality EVF, I’m deep into Nikon Zs.

I traded them in along with some other stuff I no longer used and walked away with a new M EV1 with no money added to the deal. I’ll always keep my M6, though. I’m happy.

I moved cross country from Illinois to New Hampshire in 2020, and then from NH to Texas in 2022. Several tubs of lesser used camera equipment went missing durning the move, I suspected they were in one of my (thankfully climate controlled) storage lockers. Today I started digging in the most likely one and found two of the tubs, one more may still be in there. But at least I found my Hunchback!

I just got the slide back from BattleWerx, Cold Bore Customs did the frame work last year. TD/Vickers trigger shoe on factory trigger bar and their slide stop, too.
