Make Russia Medieval Again! - Sanctification of State Power

Thought this article might be interesting - especially since some in the US imagine the Southern Confederacy as a land of 'ancient christianity'.

For those romanticizing 'The Village'

On the Children of Asian Parents subreddit someone wrote a blistering description of drawbacks of 'The Village'

Go to the subreddit and put this in the Search slot:

Hate the westerner tendency to romanticise “The Village”

Runners -- Stop Using Crowded Haight Street as Your Private Gym!

Yesterday, 4pm Sunday, I was nearly knocked over on a very crowded Haight Street pavement by an upscale looking runner in their own private world.

Move your asses to the park before you blast off and start testing your aerobic threshholds! Other people are as real as you are!

Is there a way to make the eBay homepage stationary?

I find the new animated eBay homepage distracting and obnoxious. Is there a way to restore the homepage to stationary?

Why does Amazon pressure me to use Prime?

I decided to stop using Amazon Prime. By doing so, I encountered enshittification shopping on Amazon w/o Prime for the first time in years.

( I shop on Amazon as a last resort.)

By logging on and shopping without Prime, I discovered checking out and paying has become AITA enshittified because of nagging prompts to use Prime.

I queried this on Ask Reddit and they refused my post.

Why do they want me, us to subscribe to Prime?

The Church and Hypnotic Manipulation In Depth Article

Continuing Education Resource

The Church and Hypnotic Manipulation by Michael A Sherlock

https://michaelsherlockauthor.wordpress.com/2015/02/26/the-church-hypnotic-manipulation-sunday-morning-hypnosis/

The author focuses on commonplace features of many Protestant church services.

All we need to do is apply this to EO contexts.

Imagine the overwhelming impact on Kieven Rus visitors newly arrived from the Dnieper backwaters. This was a city of millions. Even sophisticated travelers would have reeled from the sensory impact of Constantinople streets. Imagine back country visitors then being escorted into and enveloped by the sophisticated architectural, visual and sonic experience of liturgy in Aghia Sophia -- or one of the other churches in the city.

These simple people were surrounded and then overwhelmed by a man made scripted experience with accumulated centuries of artistry behind it it all.

Ordinary individual identity crushed like a bug and you are indoctrinated to equate this with humanity in relation to God.

For a ruler (or merely an ambitious power hungry person) the take home message would be, this:

"If as an ambitious person I convert to EO I get to appropriate this awesome technology and deploy it for my own purposes."

Something’s Not Right: Decoding the Hidden Tactics of Abuse and Freeing Yourself from Its Power by Wade Mullen

Dear friends, here is a resource recommendation. I heard a podcast discussing how to use this book and was very impressed.

SOMETHING'S NOT RIGHT: Decoding the Hidden Tactics of Abuse and Freeing Yourself From it's Power by Wade Muller --- Book

Much of abuse especially including the early stages of grooming is *tactical*. This book lays it out and analyses exactly how existing systems provide entry points for abuse, deflect reports of early warning signs, and ignore/deflect victim reports. It also lays out what victims can expect and precisely how to create empowering strategies and support networks for themselves to match the support networks abusers have already created for themselves.

* By the time you, the victim, report abuse, the abuser has already established a support network by having groomed the community where you were abused. You need to establish your own support network to match this.

Ubiquity of abuse in church crosses theological frontiers -- including ethnophyletism and the filioque dispute.

Acknowledgement and discussion of abuse within church communities would form a neutral heartfelt meeting place for interfaith inter denominational inter jurisdictional AND intertheological dialogue.

Stuck going to 850 Bryant this week. Any place nearby for a cuppa coffee?

Update: Thank you, all of you. Social Cafe will be my go to. No seating though, so strictly take out

If on jury duty, don't talk to anyone except the cafe workets. Someone else in the cafe might turn out to be involved with the case you're on.

-----Original post-----

I just want a place where I can score a cup of coffee without having to pawn a body part. Help!!!

There is NO place to buy a cup of coffee inside 850 Bryant --- unlike the civil courthouse up on McAllister.
