Procuring herself a pair of gold-plated automaton legs with the aid of a magic artificer to walk upon the land, she learned the ways of the sword and joined many a pirate crew on her many adventures, raiding and plundering the treasure of human merchants.*

*It's partly for the profit, she would say (her legs need some pricey maintenance, after all), but partly for the satisfaction too, the catharsis of crossing blades with land sailors to vent her bottled wrath, hidden beneath a cocky, snarky exterior. One of these days, she hopes to find the same wretched sailor who had forsaken her, and do what sirens do best: send him down to the dark, blue depths to his doom.*
