Hi! I live in south west Florida and keep getting skinks sneaking into our screened in porch. This is a problem, because that area isn’t suitable for them to live in and we don’t want them to die. There isn’t any accessible food or water for them so I’m trying to keep them outside. I think they’re coming in via a drain because we don’t open the doors to the yard unless we have to.

I do have a turtle tank out there and we do leave the door open when draining the tank, but we don’t leave it unattended.

My irrational fear is that it would get into my turtle tank and she would hurt it, but that’s far fetched.

Hi! I have an res (female, 8 years old, 6 inches) and her tank (75 gallons) needs a new stand.

We had one that was particle board for about two years, but it was starting to warp and buckle. We took the tank off the stand and have it on the floor of our screened in porch. I live in Florida, and her tank is outside. Our theory is a combination of weather and the weight of the tank caused it to wear out. Our screened in porch (where the enclosure is) is also uneven so the left side (where it buckled) had more weight on it.

We are looking for a metal stand, ideally with storage under the tank for food and other supplies.

I’m looking at stands for 75 gallons and 125 gallons to cover myself.

So I’ve been thinking about getting an oura ring for a few days. I’m still in the early stages though and haven’t really made up my mind. I have a few questions that may help me decide, but I’ll have to see.

1. Privacy-who holds the information it collects? Is it stored on my phone or in a data center? Who, besides me, can access it? (This is especially important for period tracking and other private matters).

2. Can I put the membership on an FSA card or do I need a separate card? I know the ring is FSA eligible but is the membership?

3. What are the differences between the gen 4 and gen 5 (besides price)?

4. How long does it take to charge?

5. Can they withstand handwashing? If I forget to take it off in the shower?

I have a 10 year old female RES and she had a respiratory infection that I was treating with antibiotics. I’m not sure how she got it (even the vet was confused-he said it sounded like I was doing everything right).

Now, she is sick again and I am lost.

Symptoms: swollen eyes, lethargy, excessive basking

Tank: 75 gallon with 2 hang on the back filters. I do weekly water changes. Above tank basking platform, temp controlled heater set to 72 degrees, UV sterilizer

Lighting: the tank is outside so she gets heat and UV from the sun (we live in South Florida)

Diet: zoomed maintenance formula, occasional treats (seafood) but not recently

She does not have eggs, she was xrayed last appointment.
