Those who can't work, what do you do to get out of the house and socialize?

I miss the social aspect of working but even part time work isn't viable for me. I live in a small town so there isn't much around. What do you guys do?

Social clubs or hangouts?

I can't work anymore due to disability but I miss the social aspect of it. I'm looking for clubs that aren't about partying or anywhere that has gatherings that anyone can join. I can't drink so I can't do painting with a twist

A lot of debt hit us at once. We can't pay. What should we do?

I don't know if we need to file for bankruptcy or a loan.

My husband makes 4k/mo which sounds like a lot but we barely scrape by a lot of the time. He works an hour and a half away and I'm chronically ill waiting to be approved for SSDI so I have a TON of doctor visits and medical device expenses.

We were just hit with:

our AC breaking repeatedly and needing to replace the entire outdoor unit,

his college deferral not going through so he missed 5k in payment and his credit is now 500,

We still need to start paying his monthly college fee,

My insurance decided retroactively that it didn't want to pay a bill so now we owe at least $500,

Our fridge broke because it was too hot when the ac broke and now all of our food is in an ice chest,

We have a piece of shit truck that's constantly breaking and is upside down so we can't trade it and we still owe on it,

Our car is a piece of shit that's constantly falling apart,

Our Walmart credit card bill is outrageous with all the price increases,

And I have a lot more doctor bills coming up soon. My husband wants to take out a 7k tsp loan.

What do we do? We can't afford any of this, let alone all of it at once

Does anyone else "pass out" while still conscious?

Sometimes I will kind of pass out where I'm on the floor and can't move at all, can't speak, can hardly breathe, can't look around, but my mind is still conscious. It's like I passed out with my eyes open but I'm still awake. Does this happen to anyone else?

Crashing after breakfast consistently

Does anyone else have this problem? About 30 minutes after I eat breakfast I get extremely sleepy and have to take a long nap.

I thought it was because I was eating cereal or oatmeal but I've been switching to other things like egg whites and avacado. I balance the macros almost perfectly but I still crash.

I'm beginning to wonder if it isnt my meal and it's just my body reacting to ANY food. But this doesn't happen at lunch or dinner, only breakfast.

Gemini said it's probably hot food paired with sitting up so maybe it's my coffee? I have no clue. Any input or personal experiences welcome!

How do I lift up my outside AC unit when the lines are rigid?

My unit keeps going under water and a big storm is coming so I was about to put it up onto some bricks when I noticed that the refrigerant lines are really straight and coming out of a hole in the skirting of my mobile home. How do I go about picking it up?

Has anyone here successfully taken magnesium?

I need to be on a high dose of vitamin D so I have to take magnesium as well since vitamin D depletes it. But every time I take it, it makes it so when I stand up I start getting nauseous and puke violently... I think it's magnesium glycinate if that helps.

Does anyone here have experience with this?

I emptied my cup in a quiet restroom and it made the loudest suction noise ever!

Giirrrllll I'm dying! Most of the time I can get it out pretty quietly but idk what happened this time.

I was at the gym and had to take care of it before I left. Just as soon as someone entered the still next to me, I pulled it out and it made the loudest, longest, wettest suction sound I ever heard! It was pretty comical

Any adults have experience with spinal tethering?

I hear it's still experimental but I'm thinking about trying to get approved for a trial or something so I can get it for free.

I don't think fusion is for me so I want to hear experiences from adults who had this type of surgery.

Those who had spinal fusion, how has it been/affected your EDS?

I know spinal fusion puts more stress on the other joints so I'm wondering how anyone with EDS has been affected.

Those who had thoracic fusion. How is it?

I have 55-60 thoracic and I never wanted to get the surgery because I've heard horror stories. But I'm slightly thinking about it again. I'm 29 and have Ehlers Danlos and a ton of other problems so it's pretty sketchy for me

Side question, has anyone had a breast lift/augmentation BEFORE getting a fusion? I'm wondering if it becomes uneven after

Need help adjusting new rollator!

I have 2 issues. One is that one brake handle wiggles a lot and the other doesn't. And that one wheel lock won't actually lock the wheel. I've spent maybe an hour twisting the little nut to try and make it go down but it's not working

Does anyone else's POTS flare up really bad when hungry?

I hate it because I'm trying to get a fasting blood test but every time I get hungry I cant stand up without getting violently sick.

I get dizzy, black out, shaky and unsteady, clammy hot flashes, sweaty, nauseous, start puking, and my stomach cramps extremely bad.

But as soon as I eat I get better. Anyone else?

5 stage RO plus remineralizstion. Contaminated water backed up into system

My electric hot water heater corroded and broke. I shut off the main water to the house and drained the lines but forgot about the RO and didn't close it off. The heavy metals from the water heater and the waste from the dishwasher backed up into the system.

I drank some of the contaminated water and my throat and chest burned for the whole day. My brother deals with water a lot and he said to switch out the first filter and run the system for a while.

I ran the system until the water pressure dropped 4 times, about 10 minutes I think. I drank a little to test it and it's better but still burns a little.

Do I really need to change all the filters? I just got the system like 2 weeks ago and these filters were supposed to last me a year or 2

How bad is it if I can't pronounce R's in words such as "Drigaille" "Cocodrie" "Soir"?

So I'm actually learning Cajun French specifically, but I'm supplementing with normal French to learn the rules and grammar.

My issue is that my mouth is deformed. Instead of the tip of my tongue making sounds against my teeth, it does it against the little drop off in the hard pallet. I can't roll my R's or make the DR sound.

Any advice is welcome, but how bad would it be if I just can't pronounce them? I can't speak properly in English either because of it, so sounding a bit off doesn't matter too much to me as long as I will still be understood.

How much does being fat mess with coast time?

I keep seeing other people propel and they just glide smoothly for a long time and it looks effortless.

I was 170lbs when I got my chair but now I'm 225lbs. Every time I try to coast I only go a very short distance and it doesn't look effortless at all.

I have a rogue 2. Everything has been tightened and the tires are fully inflated.

What to look for in a rollator?

I already have a wheelchair but sometimes I need something smaller that I can just sit on when needed.

I plan to use it inside my house or in the gym. I'm currently heavy but working on losing weight. I would love something that I can make look cute if possible but not 100% necessary

It may look fine to you, but it's usually extremely thick so this is a major difference for me. I have a cat so no monocadil, and I'm on SSRI so the meds doc wanted to prescribe won't work.

I'm working on my diet to help with slow thyroid and insulin resistance. And I have supplements coming in the mail for low vitamin D. I'm hoping this alone will fix the issue but idk. My SHBG is a bit low too but I don't know what to do about that either.

I wear house shoes constantly, but they keep tearing up inside and then they feel sandy from all the particles. Do you have any suggestions for good house shoes?

Yes Ive been watering them. I've had them for years and they only lost a couple leaves every now and then.

I watered them recently and then all of a sudden I look back and they look like this. There's a lot of leaves there because they suddenly started shedding a lot right before this and I didn't take them out of the pot.

The jade that's in the same pot looks fine.
