If you have not been to a Smokies game yet, this is the week to do it. It is the final seres for the first half of the season, Knoxville vs Chattanooga. Knoxville has a one game lead in the standings over Chattanooga with a chance to go to the playoffs on the line. So if we win the series we win the first half. There are several new restaurants open outside and the fan experience inside is the best in business.
So let’s go to the games Root for the Smokies and send Chattanooga home without a trip to the playoffs.

I was running into the store for a couple items, not in any hurry. An older lady came up and asked where a certain brand of beans was located. I said I don’t work here, but let’s find it together. I said here it is on the top shelf. She said oh I am glad you are here I can’t reach that. So I helped her complete her shopping. She just seemed like someone who wanted to talk and be heard. I got stories of great grandkids and loved ones who had already gone.
When I got back to my car I had forgotten to do my own shopping. But that experience stays with me
I drove from Knoxville to Chattanooga and back for the Smokies game yesterday. For the first time ever I did not see a single MAGA related sticker and I was looking.

I wanted to say thanks to all the fans and staff for a fun game yesterday. It was my third trip to your park but the first time I was there as a Smokies fan. Both my son and I had on our Smokies jerseys and were the only ones clapping at times. But everyone was so friendly.
If the family with the cute little boys that sat in front of us are reading this. I told my son that watching them and making friends with the little guys took me back in time to when he was their age. Fist bump little man

I have some out of state younger colleagues that talk about playing D&D. Honestly I have not played it in close to 50 years, I would love to still have my original books, but I would love to relearn the game and possibly get together with a group that has not played it in years or a group with players that are accepting to older players (58) who have not played in years and years.
