every since I did this I’ve had nothing but artifacts in all my clips. and there is no way to roll it back?

I don’t know what changes they made but the moment I update my firmware my dbs went flying up on my audio output end yet my interface was still set to my 45db threshold.

I tried everything new chord, rolling back wave link, rolling back gpus, obs, nothing fixes it and it’s completely at random. In OBS, In wave links live monitoring, and in davinichi voice overs.

We’ve been dealing with stragglers for over a month now.

Total sightings about 25.

2 people were harbouring them, both have been evicted which is when our sightings flew up from 2 in 6 months to the 25 in the month.

We’ve been gel, and dusted twice, and sprayed once with in that month plus another gel and dusting in two weeks, as the pro said we don’t need a spray as we have no signs of a breading population. Which is good.

We were sprayed with Tandem? I think it was called, (I’m Canadian) and a repellent around our door frame.

Just curious what’s a normal expectancy for this to end.

The empty units are being sprayed and treated bi weekly, we figured once the tenants were out we’d see an increase as they have no food now.

I recorded over 200 clips no issues.

I updated my xlr mk2 and now sometimes not all the time I will get a crackle/digital artifact in my audio. Not the whole audio just randomly.

I changed absolutely nothing, so have no clue how this happened. Also I noticed once updating my xlr mk2 my dbs flew up, not actually on the hardware but on my monitoring. I had it dialed to -18-12 and now I’ll peak in the -6s.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

This happened both on OBs recordings and in wave link monitoring. I got lucky when testing that it happened in monitoring as I can not repeat this issue. it just happens sometimes.

Very beginner content creator here. I play a game called old school RuneScape and basically my videos are hundreds of clips with dialogue.

Outside of just normalizing the clips for YouTube with independence selected, then optimization on export that is all I did for my videos.

This turned into my videos having a world of unmatched audio levels. It would transition to other clip and you’d think I cranked the volume up by 10.

Watching guides online I now realize there is a built in audio leveler I can add to the track.

Is this the best method to keep my audio level so my 200-300 clips of audio sound like one seamless track of dialogue?

I’m hoping someone with knowledge can explain to me the extent of landlord’s responsibility when it comes to roaches.

TLDR; living in a building, neighbour attached and across the hall had a known infestation.

They moved, the management treated their unit, and not even 2 days after started demoing sending them over to ours.

We got a minor treatment gel and bait, and it was told to us clearly that they should have dealt with the known infestation prior to demoing as it nulls the treatment, and disturbs the harbouring so makes them run away.

Our building is older tons of gaps and cracks between walls, we’ve had to spend around $600 filling even when requesting it, and had to toss over a thousand dollars of things out ie air fryers etc because we could not keep them clean enough to not being a competing food source due to caked in grease etc.

We’ve requested a spray as well and asked for help with accommodations for the 6 hours. Reason being my wife is blind, and we have a child with a G tube and medical supplies so we can’t just go outside for 6 hours.

We’ve been very calm about it, vocal about the increase, and vocal about the cost to us.

To what extent can we hold them accountable? For lost or damaged goods, cost out of pocket, etc.

As now our fear is our electronics being destroyed and a full infestation coming here.

We literally walk on egg shells just waiting to see them, we spend hours a day at night cleaning to make sure we don’t leave competing food sources, it’s a lot and tiring.

tried everything, even have support sending me older updates to try. It just fails over and over again.

new to my sm7b have been messing around with settings, and got the mic sounding how I want it.

Wondering if there’s any filters or adjustments I need to make to help the following.

Issue one is it picks up all my breathing and mouth noises.

Issue two, it can pick up my son from a room, hallway, and another room away.

only when I talk of course if I’m not talking it picks up nothing.

Before I go into sound dampening measures just wondering if there’s any fine tuning I can do.

It does not pick up things like fans, mouse clicks, or anything, there’s even renos happening next door and it’s not picking up that, and I can hear that with my IEMs in as that’s how loud it is.

I did turn my compressor off as it made things worse. the high pass filter made my noises worse.

one issue one question.

issue firmware will not update no matter how many times I try. Different chord, computer, reinstall, won’t do it.

other question, is there a way to factory reset the saved profile settings?

messed around a little to hard and want the expander to go back to its factory settings but can’t find a way to do so

just received mine today just wondering if anyone else uses this set up and is willing t share their settings for me to mess around with?

so I own an Elgato mic that has voice focus. I upgraded to a Shure sm7b but it’s grabbing my noise noises so I want to use voice focus. Can I somehow get my free voice focus VTS on my Shure? Or do I now have to buy it?

My set up is a neewer mic boost, Shure sm7b and Maono p2.

Audio software I’m using is wave link. I was able to get a good sound profile, noise gates great etc.

But the issue is when I talk and open that gate it picks up my mouse clicks and everything.

I’m basically eating the mic, if I turn the gain down anymore I go mute. DBs when talking right at -12.

Lost at this point.

I would have taken a picture but I was a bit panicked. But know roach issues next door with an old neighbour, they have been sprayed, I’ve been gel, dusted, and glue trapped.

Doing my checks today before our follow up with a pro tomorrow. I found a roach with a white but on the glue trap.

Does that mean it dropped an egg somewhere before getting stuck? It was white and almost shiny like, and it’s wing like things were curled upward. Keep in mind it was in a glue trap and had pee and pop (it’s but was sticky off the trap).

TLDR; Apartment, Neighbour has roaches, evicted. Sprayed but being renovated as we speak. Multiple instar sightings since spraying. I was gel and dusted, follow up in two weeks. Neighbours being sprayed again after renovations are complete in two weeks.

What I’ve done so far.

Placed 20 commercial grade traps along our joining wall. Caulked all cracks, outlets, and placed baby plugs in the outlet’s. Foamed all gaps around plumbing. Eliminated all cardboard, bags, and clutter. Placed all open and dry food in sealed containers.

Nightly chores, clean, dry and disinfect all food areas. Dog food is sealed in an air tight container, dog bowls go in an air tight container. Plug all drains.

This is my daily things and what I’ve done to be proactive to stop a breeding population from coming over.

if there is anything I should add. please do let me know.

long story short 2 roach sitings in 6 months.

now 5 in the last 2 weeks

3 adults last week.

2 nymphs today by my door.

neighbour had them got evicted. they sprayed the neighbour last week, gel and dusted us Monday as well.

I have 20 trap masters out, all along our party wall, behind the fridge stove sinks etc not a single one in my traps.

they are commercial grade the exterminator was nice enough to toss me a bunch.

the first one I saw on my front closet door second one on our door mat.

the neighbour left a bunch of crap they tossed out prior to the spray. And they are demoing the unit for some reason right after a spray….

what do I do. We’re out of here and don’t need an infestation prior to leaving.

I keep reading conflicting things stating it’s good after treatment, and other Things saying it’s bad.

I wasn’t planning on going anywhere close to this mic because of its price range but I ended finding a very good deal on one on marketplace.

Tested it on buddies audio set up and it was great but he was keeping his set up.

Just curious what is really needed to run it? Streaming and YouTube only. Nothing more.
