Which did you prefer watching growing up and as an adult now: rockos modern life or ren and stimpy?

both were over the top shows for me, but I preferred rockos modern life because it was a little more relatable to me .

What are you doing to find jobs in charlotte metro area more effectively ?

I use to work in the Data space at a well known corporation in Charlotte for about 7 years now. I have been laid off for about 10 months now . I want to work in a Technology field again. I have been since looking for work and have been struggling since then . I have been attempting to find work both outside of my field and in my field(even like part time jobs). What strategies have you used to make your job searching more effective?

Olga wasnt a great sister nor a great role model for helga

Helga had higher emotional intelligence than her sister( she knew that her sisters fiance was a con man the moment he was introduced to her family after talking to her famil.y for example. She also did not get emotionally fragile whenever she got less than an A on her report card, unlike her sister). She embarressed her little sister in class by sharing her bed wetting story and then did not understand why she would attack people bullying her. Tried to be a big sister figure to another child but not her own sister. Didnt try to console her siister at all when Big Bob and Miriam were ignoring her for the most part.

Helga was a victim of neglectful parenting and olga was a victim of both permissive and authoritarian parenting(treating olga as the golden child and yet her dad still had high expectations she had to meet in order to remain their golden child) but I think that Olga should have been a better guide for Helga too, not the other way around

Debunk This: Homicide rates by race and income table — does it refute the claim that poverty causes crime?

A post on X claims that crime is reduced by eliminating poverty, arguing that lower crime rates in wealthier neighborhoods are due to basic needs being met rather than policing or security measures.

A reply challenges this by posting a homicide rates per 100,000 table broken down by household income and race (White, Black, Asian). The reply highlights that Black homicide rates at the highest income bracket ($85,000+) at 15.4 still exceed white homicide rates at the lowest income bracket (under $10,000) at 7.2, arguing that poverty reduction alone will not eliminate the racial disparity in violence.

Is this data accurate, what is its source, and does it support the conclusion being drawn

Is it a red flag for you when some girl or guy judges you for loving your cat or dog or iguana the way a parent loves their children?

I immediately imagine such a person to be a domineering control freak and would not want anything to do with them

Your overall take on ron pauls impact on the liberty movement?

I say its a mix bag. Even though some of us became anarchists after we learned more about economics and foreign policy from a libertarian perspective, many more of these libertarians who would have been influemced by ron paul went on to become right wing extremists imo.

Im sick of MAGA infiltrating most libertarian groups online. Too many of them hate the concept of individual liberty. I thought the liberty movement between 2008-2012(I joined in 2008) was just fine, but it seems like since trump was elected , in 2016, its all gone downhill

Im sick of conservatives saying ' well whites dont use welfare per capita' after someone points out that they are the majority of welfare users...when NIMBY laws( which disproportionately benefit white home owners) increase the demand for section 8 housing since NIMBY laws increase housing costs

im tired of people like that not connecting the dots.

I just had an data engineering question and answer session for a role that I didnt do well on. What is your advice for preparing for data engineering related questions for a job?

I know how to code ( sql and python) but I didnt do a good job of conveying what I know to the question askers.

tech code question and answer session are unrealistic to me because they want you to know syntax from memory and to me thats not realistic since most devs i know look up what they dont know

what was the book selection in the prison library like?

Did you have access to a large selection of books? if there were books that you wanted that were not in the library , could you request a book to be imported to the library that was in your prison? were certain books not allowed under any circumstance? were you allowed to take books back to your room?

I dont believe in a true free market , that Elon Musk would be a trillionaire

I think the current monetary system rewards asset holders while punishing the average nonasset holder. Also the regulatory system helps such rich people to an extent. Regulatory capture regulations benefits certain multibillionaire industries who otherwise would not be billionaires.

People love to lament about how the poor leach off of the system, but they rarelly talk about the rich leeching off of that system.

What do you think?

anyone notice that almost every libertatian or "anarchist" online group on social media eventually becomes fillled with republians, MAGA and even ones who are obsessed with race or

when you make a post condemning state sanctioned segregation and racism( like mentioning the fact that the US government primarily created the black white wealth gap), promoting open borders, condemning the war on drugs, condemning NIMBY law , condemning the george fkoyd murder, condemning trumps race based refugee policy etc almost invariable on the comments of that post in such groups, you get "libertarians" condemining the post or you are outright called a leftist or marxist.

even though i got MORE into libertarianism because of ron paul in 2008, the trend in these groups is the result of the ron paul effect( who was more libertarian than the majority of repuvlicans but still wasnt fully libertarian). the result of the ron paul effect is that he not onky attracted people who would eventually become anarchists,...he attracted people who were initially receptive to libertarian ideas...but went on to become maga. the latter group of people make up the majority of those people who were drawn into libertarianism by ron paul and hence why you see "libertarian" groups online like the ones i described.
