What could be happening here?

Please let me know if I am in the wrong place

I would really appreciate any help with trying to understand what could be causing only some of my small trees to die?/change colour

As you can see they are all next to each other receiving the same amount of water, light, soil etc, however some singular trees have started to dry out and change colours, anyone know what may be causing this?

Thank you!

Arborvitae Help!

This is the second Arborvitae I’ve planted in this spot this year and the second one isn’t doing well. Any suggestions? I have another that is thriving but this one in this spot is looking rough. Was planted around six weeks ago which is when the other started to show similar issues! Please help! I’m a new gardener and would appreciate any suggestions! Also let me know if it’s salvageable. I’ve been watering deeply for around 5 minutes 3-4 x weekly. For reference this is a picture of the rough one and another of the one looking good!

ASUS ExpertBook CX54 Chromebook Plus Laptop with Google Al

About a year ago I bought an ASUS ExpertBook CX54 Chromebook Plus Laptop with Google Al, 14" 2560x1600 Display, Intel® CoreT Ultra 5 Processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD .

I needed a replacement to my Pixelbook (RIP) and thought I could get by without a touch screen. After 31 days, I decided differently but couldn't return it. I bought a Lenovo and pushed the Asus aside. It's been sitting here for a year...

What do I do with it?

Vinegar Simmer

Wanted a fresh start so did a vinegar simmer this morning. Look at that shine!

That's all, goodnight.

Poor man's Mixing Valve

I'm about to install a simple exposed copper shower outside for occasional summer use. Do I need a proper mixing valve or can I just use a Tee (red)? Thoughts?

Emerald Green Arborvitae browning

I’m in central NC, zone 7B. We’ve had a severe drought and I’m hoping that’s all that’s caused the browning in one of my arborvitaes. I have about 14 of them I planted at the same time, about 6-7 years ago. I’ve never seen this much browning on one of them. The browning is primarily on the eastern facing side of the tree. Any help with what might be causing this and if I need to take any action?

Free machine [Rocket : CELLINI 2009]

Went to pickup a broken espresso machine this morning.

Turns out, it's not so much an espresso machine as box of espresso parts. Apparently the boiler heating element is toast and everything else "works".

Do I strip it for parts for a Franken-build I'm working on or restore to its former glory?

Project Investment to date:

30 minutes of time

1/8 tank of gas

$0.00USD

Edit : I guess I should have prefaced, I have a few working machines already. This Rocket would not be a daily driver, it would likely be gifted to a friend. My everyday machine is a stainless double boiler I built from the ground up and I have a restored Ascaso Steel in my guest house. Currently working on a custom build, open chassis double boiler showpiece. Not too challenged in rebuilding this Rocket, but curious what others would do with it given its tough condition. This is just a hobby
