Help! Looking for pictures of Pajero Wagon with ET0 wheels

Guys, I’m looking for pictures of how pajero looks like with ET0 wheels.

I wanna get a wider stance, that is not too much wide, but also not inside the arches, and tried to google it, search in TikTok and instagram with no results🥲

Would appreciate pictures with some details, or if u have negative ET on your Paj - that works.

Note I won’t lift it now

Why do founders say “1000+ users with zero marketing” when they were promoting their app on Reddit?

I see lots of Reddit post where people are saying they’ve got 500-1000-2000 and more users not using marketing tools, but with that same people did post on Reddit.

That is still marketing, but more like “no formal campaigns/agency/huge budget”. But guys, you’re doing good job anyway.

Reddit also gave me big boost for example, with that my blog did a good job since it’s about repairing my car, and app is for car owners.

So yeah, Reddit posts, Product Hunt, X/Twitter, Indie Hackers, Facebook groups, etc. is marketing, but more like organic and can be free (not really, you pay with your time).

Agree?

AI in my app was right about reasons my car didn't start

Do u use AI for diagnostics? How often it was right about the reasons?

I had an issue with car starting when it was warm, everyone around told me to check camshaft or crankshaft sensors, but I was sure that was the throttlebody and when I took it off I realized I was right.

And with that, I tested AI in my app that also was sure the problem is in throttle body, probably because it had all info about the car before reasoning.

As for me that is pretty cool that u can now ask AI about such things and if u know what u r doing have a second opinion. Though, I don't like when ppl who don't know what is under the hood trying to fix anything with AI advice only 😂

Are you using maintanance tracking apps to keep your service books actual?

I bought an old Pajero that wanna turn into a proper offroading build, and that includes interior changes, like multimedia or/and OLED dashboard with odometer and stuff.

Now I use my app to track service records, have maintanance planned, wishes in one place and so on. I'm going to build integration of current app to the car directly (not right now), so I have live diagnostic all the time in the app. Do you know any app integrated like that so I can see features they have?

My app for reference: maintra.me

I released it not long time ago, so couple of bugs can still be found. Working alone on that.

📱 Play Store - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maintra.app&pcampaignid=web\_share

📱 App Store - https://apps.apple.com/ua/app/maintra/id6775876731

Maintra is now on Android and iOS - an offline-first service book for cars

Maintra keeps vehicle maintenance history, fuel, costs and reminders together. It can scan repair receipts into drafts and export the full history as PDF.

I built it after losing track of dates, mileage and smaller jobs on my old Pajero. Normal records work offline, and there are no ads, location tracking or third-party analytics.

App is free, u can find your platform here: https://maintra.me/

Happy to hear your feedbacks <3

What headlights are best quality for a Pajero IV?

Hey folks!

Looking for some good quality headlights to replace vanilla, but I see lots of Chinese copies rather than a proper quality brand. What would u suggest?

I’m in Ukraine, and will have to order from somewhere else I think.

Thanks in advance!

Never used an OBD scanner before - what should I look for in the $50–150 range?

Hey brothers,

I've worked in software for about 10 years, and I'm putting together my own phone app that reads a car's OBD data and helps the owner narrow down what's actually wrong before they start throwing parts at it. The target user is the person who does their own brakes, oil, or a bit more, BUT not a shop (they have all they need).

Getting this out of the way up front: yes, there's an AI piece that interprets the data. Ten years around this stuff means I'm well aware of what it can and can't do, so I'd rather not have the thread turn into that debate. The part I genuinely don't know anything about is the hardware (and that's why I'm asking real ppl, rather than just talking to Claude).

I've never touched an OBD adapter in my life. What I'm looking for:

  • $50-150 - so not a $15 thing from AliExpress, but not a Snap-on either
  • Connects to a phone over Bluetooth
  • Works across a wide range of makes, not just one brand (I own a Mitsubishi Pajero Wagon 2007 by the way, so most of the tests will be on it)
  • Reliable code reading plus live data, so the app has something real to work with

What I'd love your input on:

  1. In that price range, what is the money actually buying - the chip, the firmware, protocol coverage, build quality?
  2. How much of the "works with all vehicles" claim holds up? Where do the cheap ones fall over - older cars, specific makes, hybrids?
  3. Do I need manufacturer-specific / enhanced codes, or do generic P-codes get a DIYer most of the way there?
  4. Live data and freeze frame - worth insisting on, or nice-to-have?
  5. Any brands you'd actively avoid? And is there an obvious "just buy this one" answer people keep coming back to?

I've put a couple of screenshots below so you can see what I'm doing with the data. Can't name the app here per sub rules.

Appreciate any pointers - total noob on this side of things.

What is approximate price for such build?

So I bought one (traded 2012 Jetta) and wanna make a proper off-roading setup (something like in the pic), but the one I could use on the roads. Tires and wheels ~ $2k, repaint around $800, headlights and rear lights also around $1000. On the screenshot u see current spent w/o touching anything but mechanical parts, just so it works fine, oils and filters (but not all yet).

So the question is: what were the spendings for your builds?

And important one! Can u guys suggest headlights? I wanted the one that looks like on the picture, but those apparently isn't so good :(

P.S. I'm in Ukraine, but it seems I'll have to order most of the parts abroad.

P.P.S. App on the screenshot is Maintra.
