Anyone diagnosed with bladder cancer around age 30? Looking for experiences/data

Hi everyone,

I'm a 30-year-old man from Tamil Nadu and I'm trying to understand how commonly bladder cancer occurs in men around my age in India.

I've had intermittent microscopic hematuria for around 2 years. I'm a non-smoker, my CT KUB was normal, urine cytology was negative, and I don't have protein in my urine. My urologist has recommended a cystoscopy.

I'm not looking for a diagnosis. I'd simply like to hear from anyone who:

- Was diagnosed with bladder cancer in their 20s or early 30s, particularly in Tamil Nadu/India; or

- Knows someone who was diagnosed at that age and is comfortable sharing their experience.

- Has access to Indian data on bladder cancer in younger men.

If you were diagnosed around this age, I'd especially appreciate knowing whether there were any known risk factors such as smoking/tobacco, occupational chemical exposure, family history, etc.

Please feel free to comment or DM me if you're comfortable sharing. I'm mainly trying to understand how rare it is and what the circumstances were in people diagnosed at a young age.

Thank you.

I sometimes had a vibration sensation in my penis head.

Long-term microscopic hematuria with normal imaging & labs - Confused what to do next

Hi everyone, I am a 30M from India with intermittent microscopic hematuria (trace RBCs on Urine Analysis under Microscope).

My contrast CT KUB, ultrasound (both normal size, intact corticomedullary differentiation, no stones/masses), serum creatinine, and urine cytology have all been clean.

For those who had isolated, intermittent microscopic hematuria over the 2 years:

  1. Did it simply remain benign/unexplained?

  2. For those who later had a renal diagnosis (like IgA or Thin Basement Membrane Disease), what additional markers (e.g., persistent proteinuria, blood pressure changes) triggered that evaluation?

Please give me some advice, it has been killing my mental peace and unable to focus on anything.

I have GERD, Cholesterol, Vit B and D deficiencies and taking medicines.

TIA!

Has anyone from India undergone a flexible cystoscopy for microscopic hematuria? Looking for personal experiences.

I'm 30M and have had intermittent microscopic hematuria for around 2 years. My CT KUB was normal, and my RBC counts are usually around 3–10/HPF. My urologist is considering further evaluation/cystoscopy.

I'm particularly interested in:

Which hospital/urologist you went to

Whether flexible cystoscopy was painful/uncomfortable

Whether local anaesthetic gel was used

Whether sedation was offered

How long the discomfort lasted afterward

Your approximate cost, if you're comfortable sharing

Whether the cystoscopy was normal

I'm looking for personal experiences rather than medical advice.

8 YOE | Confused about switching from a stable mid-sized company to a startup

Hey everyone,

I have 8 years of experience as a software engineer.

I'm currently working at a mid-sized company with a fixed salary of ₹20 LPA. I've been here for the last 5 years, and overall the job has been stable.

Recently, I received an offer from my previous employer:

CTC: ₹36 LPA (₹31 LPA fixed + ₹5 LPA variable)

Company size: <200 employees (startup)

Role: Python Full Stack Developer

They've also mentioned a potential onsite opportunity to Australia in about 2 years.

My current company doesn't offer onsite opportunities, and I don't expect that to change even if I stay for another 5 years.

My current tech stack is primarily FastAPI/Python, and the new role is also Python-based. However, I also have around 4 years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. One thing that's bothering me is whether moving further into Python will make it harder to return to Java-based roles in the future. I'm also not very strong in DSA, so switching companies later through traditional interview processes is something I'm concerned about.

I'm genuinely confused about whether I should:

Stay in a stable company with a lower salary, or

Join the startup for a significant pay hike and a possible onsite opportunity, while accepting the additional risk.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? What would you do if you were in my position?

Thanks in advance!
