Any recent biography of Marie-Thérèse?

Hello everyone, I am reading Marie-Thérèse Child of Terror by Susan Nagel. It was published in 2008.

Just out of curiosity, are there more recent biographies? I am pretty surprised that no one has published anything about Marie-Thérèse in recent years, especially given the current trends in Disney movies and the second wave of feminism of the early 2000s. Have I by chance, be superficial in my book hunting?

I noticed some of you like reenactments...

I noticed some of you like reenactments of the Napoleonic wars so I decided to share this interesting tradition from the Italian Alps. In some villages people dress as Napoleonic soldiers for carnival in memory of when Napoleon crossed their village with his troops.

Did Louis XVI and Mme Polignac had a story?

I am reading Marie Thérèse - Child of Terror from Susan Nagel and the author seems pretty convinced that Louis XVI was in love with Mme de Polignac. That's the first time I hear about this hypothesis. Any opinions/sources about it?

Bulgakov & monarchism

Hi,

I read recently that Bulgakov was a monarchist. However, it seems to me that he was rather moderate for his time.

Is there anyone in this sub who is knowleadgable enough to briefly introduce me to Bulgakov views?

PS: references are always welcome 📚

What is the difference between approaching philosophy as a religious and non religious person?

Hi everyone,

I am asking this question because I an curious to discover how the perception of philosophy changes between believers and non believers. Are believers less or more likely to develop an interest in philosophy? How do the relationship with philosophy varies between believers and non - believers? I am asking because I am under the impression that both religion and philosophy are concerned with methaphysical questions.

PS: please be kind with me, I have no formal training in philosophy besides high school classes.

I recently came across the definition of neurodivergence (differing in mental or neurological function from what is considered typical or normal).

Based on this definition would you consider BPD a form of neurodivergence. If yes, why?
