Here for the 4th? Spend the holiday with a foster rabbit! 🎆🐰

Are you here for the 4th? Spend the holiday with a foster rabbit from House Rabbit Society! No rabbit experience required! Submit a foster application today at houserabbit.org/foster. We're located in Richmond, just north of Berkeley, but welcome fosters from all over the San Francisco Bay Area. We only ask for a 2-week commitment.

What We Provide: We'll equip you with all the supplies you need to get started, including an x-pen, litter box, bedding, food pellets, hay, blankets, and bowls for food and water. As a foster, you also receive a 15% discount at the HRS Hop Shop if you'd like to purchase any additional toys or treats while you foster.

What You Provide: The time, space, love, and care your foster rabbit needs, along with their daily veggies (approximately $5-10 per week). Getting socialization in a foster home is so important, especially for rabbits who are shy or have other behavior needs and helping them become more comfortable with people. You can help a foster rabbit blossom into the wonderful house rabbit they're truly meant to be!

Questions? Email foster@houserabbit.org or stop by our facility to talk in-person with HRS volunteers and staff and to meet the rabbits. HRS is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm.* We'd love to talk with you!

*Please note, on Saturday, July 4th, HRS will close early at 3 pm for staff to spend time with their families for the holiday.

Come meet rabbits at House Rabbit Society's open house! 💖🐰

You're invited to House Rabbit Society's spring open house on Saturday, May 16th! It will be a fun, family-friendly day of activities and of course, rabbits! There's no ticket for entry. HRS is located at 148 Broadway in Richmond, just north of Berkeley. All are welcome!

We'll have several activity booths along with light refreshments, with vegan options. We'll have new spring items in our store, the HRS Hop Shop, that you can purchase for your rabbit at home or donate to a shelter rabbit. And of course, you can meet the HRS adoptable rabbits — they would love to see you! We'll also have several exclusive HRS items available by donation.

All proceeds support HRS's ongoing rabbit rescue and education efforts as well as our lifesaving medical programs. We'd love to see you there. Bring a friend (or two)!
