Is the Land speeder vengeance worth it

With the new land speeders, plus plasma and speeder detachments, it seems really fun to make a flying ravenwing list.

Problem is I worry that the old models might not look great in person (I've never actually looked at them in person, they look fine online) or they might get replaced/sent to legends what do you think? How has the dark shroud/vengeance performed for you?

Recommendations for places to eat with grandparents

Hello! My grandma is visiting Southampton this week, she tends to like quieter, slightly fancy restaurants and has asked me to book somewhere, however I don't actually live in Southampton so some recommendations would be great!

If I had to guess at a cuisine I'd say somewhere that serves more traditional European/English food

I need a second opinion as I've been staring at this for hours, have I captured movement or does it just look like it's falling over...?

New to knights, how do you like to do more complicated heraldry

The examples are by Gabeofthorns on Instagram, they look like they might be freehand and I don't think I have the skill for that, so I was hoping some of you may have some tips for painting crests and heraldic devices, thanks!

Have any of you tried the Doomsong system?

I've recently picked up doomsong and lord have mercy by caeser ink, so far I'm loving it, and the first session went so well, but with both books being so dense I worry if I'm missing anything.

Have any of you tried this system/the campaign? If so we're there any problems/or especially good bits that you came across, whilst I can always improvise in the moment, I try to head off or prepare for any issues or really fun moments in advance if I can

If you haven't already I'd really recommend you take a look at the books, even just the art and setting are great

What's your favorite system/module for fantasy horror?

After a very enjoyable curse of strahd campaign a few years back, I've been looking to run another dark/horror campaign, however I've been told d&d isn't the best system for that sort of game.

The usual recommendation is call of cthulu but I specifically enjoy fantasy/gothic settings and I don't know if it's easy to convert?

Any suggestions would be very welcome!

I also tend to prefer running premade campaigns and tweaking them, so any suggestions either DND or other systems would be great

Thanks for your help!

I've realized my favorite style of campaign to run is horror but I'm terrible at coming up with my own campaigns. Can anyone recommend any horror campaigns/modules, they don't have to be official

I've played curse of strahd and loved it, any other recommendations would be very welcome! Even If I have to adapt another system (my players only really want to play D&D)

I'm feeling like I'm chasing the success of previous campaigns, I'd love some advice...

Hi, I've been DMing for about 5 years, and I've ran about 3 campaigns, but the only one I've finished, and the first one I ran was curse of strahd, it was so fun the setting was perfect, the villains fantastic and the story was emotional and wrapped up nicely.

Since then I've run tomb of annihilation which ended very quickly due to that group falling apart, followed by a homebrew campaign that I've run for 3 years, level 1 to 17 currently, both were fun, but I can it just doesn't have the same magic that curse of strahd did for both myself and my players, it's left me struggling for motivation and I'd love to hear any advice from DMs who've maybe felt the same?

Additionally I think the best things about strahd were the villains and the contained and thematic setting, so if anyone has any suggestions for a similar campaign even if it isn't official I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks for any help!

Would you rather run Azreal and a land raider redeemer, or a lieutenant and the lion?

If I was to run Azreal he'd be with 10 hellblasters, and deathwing knights would be in the land raider, whereas with the lion i'd try and deep strike the deathwing and have the lion follow up behind, the lieutenant being left to lead the hellblasters.

I can't make up my mind, the redeemer seems more resilient and the overwatch is brutal, and the cp from Azreal is fantastic, but then I'd be missing out on running one of the coolest dark angel models.

The alternative is running the lion, a redeemer and Azreal and in a 1500pt list that's a lot of points for just 3 models

I'd love to know how your experience with the lion in game has gone

What do we think? I need to get some more skulls to fill out the base but very happy so far

I bought logan a while ago thinking space wolves would be my army, and have been wondering what to do with him since, looking at the size of the model he isn't far off size wise and if I took the wolves off he could fit on the correct base.

I also think that some of the wolf emblems could fit as war hound emblems, but I'm curious if this is a proxy you'd accept? (With some kitbashing of course)

Also have any of you built grimnar before? Or even better tried something similar?
