Usually when I put a new model on the board, it gets killed very quickly. But mutilators where the exceptions. When I put these guys on the board, they did their job and killed the dreadnought in one turn
I am using Hurons marauders detachment gives me a disposition of purge, the foe my opponent is tau their have disposition of reconnaissance. Is any recommendations or units that will be best against them and tactics thank you if you can help

In the renegade war band attachment, it gives my whole army the keyword assault, what i'm confused, it's reading what a salt is.I'm confused on the difference with the twisted doctrine ability that basically lets me fall back and advance and shoot, but doesn't assault do that too sorry If this is actually simple, I am a new player

I'm playing a 1k game using the detachment chaos cultists. My warlord is Chaos Lord with Jump Pack, Sorcerer, Traitor Enforcer + Ogryn (Enhancement: Dark Apostate),Legionaries (10, bolt pistols + chainswords) Traitor Guard (4 squads of 10, each with grenade launcher, sniper rifle, plasma rifle)Havoc Team, Raptors, Foulgore Beastmen. I've played this guy many times he beats me every time i'm just looking just to even go toe to toe and not be completely destroyed

plasma gun, I like it because they don’t gotta run up and die.
They can just sit on a point, stay in cover, and still shoot stuff all game.The sniper picks off little things, the plasma hits hard, and the grenade launcher is just good to have because you can swap between frag and krak depending on what’s in front of you.And then when you mix this with Renegade Warband, it gets even better.The Vendetta thing is huge.
Full hit re‑rolls into the target you pick.
So the sniper and plasma actually do something every turn instead of whiffing. Plus, the Guard just kinda chills in the back while the Marines do all the crazy movement stuff with Twisted Doctrine. This all in theory , but tonight I will playing testing it out
