I already had this stapler but wanted to staple pamphlets of letter size sheets. This is much more compact than a traditional long reach stapler and is barely larger than the stapler with the original base.

It was a challenge making a compliant mechanism that allows the stapler to snap fit securely and pivot while offering a nice spring action. I was very happy that modeling in a nub that sat proud for the strike plate and pressing it down with a hot knife worked so well!

Funny side note - I asked Gemini how thick the hinge section of the model should be and it suggested 1.5mm. Final model was 10mm thick!

Just hooked up a pc fan to a temperature controller. Looks like it keeps it 4-5 degrees F below ambient which is all I needed.

Male and female. And a third one comes to break them up at the end.

UPDATE: These are both definitely Siwellia lineolata. I’d be curious to know if the variations in pattern could be linked to age, gender, or locality if anybody is an expert on these. I recently picked up what I thought were Sewellia Lineolata to join my Borneo loaches. They were in a mixed tank with what I identified as Sewellia sp spotted being sold as the same thing. I picked out a few including these two. After looking more closely, the reticulated pattern on the one look very similar, but the lines are more closely spaced. I’d appreciate any help and/or recommendations for databases I can search for different hillstream species.

Pictures 1, 2, and 3 are of the fish with the tighter pattern. Pictures 4, 5, and 6 are what the other Lineolata I have look like. Is this a geographical difference or normal pattern variation in the same species, possibly a difference in age, or a different species altogether?

I was previously running these OZ Superturismo GTs as winter wheels, but just put summer tires on them so I could have some 17” tires. I have some 17” Denvers from a mk5 in silver that might be good for winter, but I wanna see how they look if anybody’s done Denvers or Detroits on a mk7!

Sometimes it feels like the 2-door doesn’t get enough love, but here it is in 3 different worlds - my night blue metallic 2016, a hot wheel painted to match, and in-game in NFS Unbound.

I picked up a free wind fairing that was a few inches too short for my vehicle so I designed and printed these extensions and riveted them on with some 1/8” aluminum rivets. After a couple of days having these installed, they’ve both started warping in the same manner.

They are 2mm thick with 3mm tall ribs all around the sides and the one in the middle. Printed in ABS-GF on my Creality K1. 260 nozzle temp and 100 bed temp with a 40-50 degree chamber temp. 0.6 nozzle and 0.3mm layer height. They didn’t warp while printing and came off perfectly flat so I imagine it’s a design issue rather than a printing issue. They also warped the opposite way than I would typically expect from an issue with the printer.

I hope drying the filament more isn’t the answer, but it might be. Would more ribs on the back, thicker material, or different rivet placement help? I appreciate any and all thoughts.
