Coyote or Multicam?

Which is more versatile? I’m looking to get a new plate carrier for the larp, and I want something that can work in numerous environments. I have multiple sets of varying camouflage patterns, ranging from desert, arid, chaparral, tropical. But my current PC is black and I don’t like that. So… coyote brown or multicam?

AOR2 combat shirt, found in surp store

The guy working the register said he’d let it go for $125! I didn’t get it, but as a long time lurker, first time poster, I thought yall would enjoy. For those unaware, it’s typically hard to find tier 1 stuff in a surplus store like this.

AOR1, 2, or MC?

I made the uneducated mistake of getting a black plate carrier 2 years ago. It’s great, breathable, love the quality; but it’s black. This was before I got into camo and I now realize how much a black plate carrier can be an issue when wanting to stay hidden. The question for you all is: should I get a PC in AOR1, AOR2, or Multicam? I’m in Southern California, so the environment can be extremely diverse. Multicam has the edge statistically speaking, but it’s also Multicam 👎. AOR1 looks the coolest imo but if I’m in a lush green how big of a problem would that be assuming my clothes are the correct/ideal pattern for the environment?

Just got into thermal!

Mixing hot and cold water in a plastic bag and spotted what I believe is a bat.

Bumps unknown cause? Bites?

18M, average weight, bumps featured are on left leg. Sensitive bumps appearing in succession, the farthest left (most proximal) appeared first as a visibly pus filled bump that didn’t particularly itch like mosquito bites typically do. This initial bump appeared over 24 hours after hiking in a densely forested creek bed. The length of time it took to appear makes me think that it’s not a mosquito bites typically, also it filled with pus which is abnormal of mosquitoes.

The bump in the middle appeared a day after the first. And the most distal on the right appeared the day after that. Sensitive to touch like a cut would be. Not itchy like mosquito bites. Hiking location was southern california, santa monica mountains. ??

Good budget bump helmets for NODS?

Unlike the DoD, I’m not looking to spend $500 on a bump helmet just to wear NVGs on night hikes. Any suggestions on budget friendly bump helmets? All I need is a snug fit and an NVG shroud. I’ve looked around at some FMA clones and heard good things but I want some insight.
