The Legend rarity, with the way they're handling it, is a bad thing for the game

The fact that they REPLACED LFs is the main reason i am posting this, the legend rarity felt like the perfect rarity to fit between Legends limited and Ultra, they didn't have the Ultra exclusive mechanics, but they had their own unique mechanic that made them special, also their art feels like the perfect blend between the art of the LFs and Ultras, they didn't feel like a replacement for the LFs whatsoever

Now for the important stuff, these units are too premium to be treated like LFs, which is why 9/10 legend units have a second life mechanic, they made the unique mechanics some type of bare minimum, yes we have mid releases like the new kaioken and daimaku but even these units still have endurance and buff cancellation

Another thing is the timing, we are yet to have MANY important characters as LFs, why introduce a new rarity that lets u recycle units rather than completing the rest of the missing releases

Also many mechanics that were more available are now treated as super premium because of this rarity, i am specifically talking about transforming and revival, we literally have 1 transforming unit (and it aint even on main) and 0 revival units, which is the problem with ultras, they're treating them in a similar manner, you don't expect the new goku unit to be a transforming from base to kaioken for example, with LFs anything was on the table

The only positive thing i can think of is that now units last longer and dont age as fast as before, what do you guys think?

u/HyperSlayer1X — 1 day ago

Do you guys think he's balanced? Or just straight up a mid unit?

This piece of art isn't mine i got it from a comment section on the sub, but i can't remember on which post, so credits to whoever made this!

So, who's got more lazy animations, the guy with only kamehamehas or the guy with only kamehamehas?

I think it's a tricky question, cause one of them has an additional kamehameha on his cover change while the other on the opponent switch thing

Broly isn't toxic enough to get "hard countered", infact he is protecting us from UVB because these devs failed at their "new design philosophy".

I really don't get it, much more toxic units never received a counter like this, both element AND kit? Legend broly isn't even that toxic, there is gohan and trunks who can nullify endurance with the easiest offensive mechanic in the game (area change), goku and vegeta who literally get half their gauge filled for you playing the game, the gauge that leads to the spirit bomb btw, also there's UVB himself for very obvious reasons, legend broly has 2 transforming gauges but first of all the blue cards aren't literally worth less if you let broly transform early your character will just heal them off, and second without them he loses like 80% damage inflicted or something so deciding to play around it is also worth it, and for anyone who will say "oh but he is preventing you from playing the game he is ending your combo" isn't this LITERALLY what disrupt does? Why is disrupt okay but this isn't if they both do the same thing?

Explaining how a big part of England's "philosophy" is literally just preparing for the match, and how it kind of puts ego on fraud watch.

So basically the difference between blue lock and england is that ego basically tells his players "go figure out how the other team plays mid game and use the philosophies that i taught you to deal with it", yes we have chapters of ego briefly talking about the other team's style of play, but when we see the blue locker's literally surprised by the abilities of every player in the france and nigeria game (outside of loki and charles for obvious reasons), and surprised by their style of player (which literally happened in the England game too) clearly ego isn't doing his job, which gets me to my second point

A big portion of england's philosophy or style is studying the players before the game, and entering the field already ready to deal with these players and make decisions based on expectations that are the result of this "studying" which is EVERY coach's job, it's the bare minimum actually and for some reason it's portrayed as a "unique" style rather than literally what every team does, now obviously this isn't the only part of england's philosophy, it's just the core of it, and the dialogue of engalnd's player in the latest chapter explains this so well

And lastly, i like to portray this as 0 to 1 just says blue lock's players enter the field having almost no idea about what they're dealing with, and they turn that 0 into 1 mid game by understanding their opponent players' qualities and acting accordingly, england already skipped this because their coach ACTUALLY coached and turned that 0 into 1 before the game by making them understand before the game the opponent players' qualities (obviously i am not saying that this is what 0 to 1 or 1 to infinity represent it's just a random thought)

I have been watching GT Dubbed instead of Subbed, but i heard that the Dub isn't accurate, is there any major things that i need to know?

So basically i have been seeing alot of rant on the GT dub, i personally like goku's Dubbed english voice alot more than the Japanese one, dragonball in general actually, but i heard that many things are different and straight up wrong, so if u watched both, what are some "must know" differences? Like stuff that directly mess heavily with the plot

Also is the difference in context between the 2 worth watching GT and maybe the rest of DB subbed even tho i heavily like the dubbed voices more?

The meta is full of red units, so what's the next best step? ZENKAI AWAKENING A RED UNIT

We trust these devs a bit too much, i remember seeing alot of people saying "well it can't be red MUI look at the meta are u dumb it has to be a blue unit" well look at this bs, they couldn't even get their sparking right because currently the single best SP to zenkai from the TOP is blue transforming gohan, everyone loves him he is cool as hell and he is blue, but well dragonball games are unfortunately in the hands of a pathetically incompetent company named bandai namco

Pan not going SSJ here is one of the most infuriating things in GT

I love GT, i think it's underrated ESPECIALLY the first half of it i enjoyed it alot, but the way they handled pan and decided to only make her a rat for goku to chase the way they did is just too annoying, i mean sure use her to progress the story but not like THAT

Hot take: If this guy had LF red zamasu's defense gauge, he wouldve still been top 1 individually

I think that the fact that he needs to use a blue or green to empty his gauge is the only thing keeping him away from being the strongest unit in the game, red zamasu's gauge wouldve been literally perfect for him on release and he wouldve been remembered as a great unit, and it might sound absurd to take a mechanic from another unit and apply it to another and say "yeah he wouldve been the best", but i think in this specific situation its justifiable

Explaining why Lamine winning the ballon d'or is reasonable, infact we should push for it

TL;DR: this post isn't for you

Note: What i am about to say is not my personal best criteria to deciding the best player in the world, it's far from it actually, but i am talking exclusively about france football's ballon d'or

So in order to decide who should win an award, we should look at the criteria, so i will be taking the 2025 ballon d'or as the "base" to this because it's simply the latest one and it only makes sense to start from it rather than starting from a older one

The rankings for the 2025 ballon d'or were like this

  1. Ousmane dembele
  2. Lamine Yamal
  3. Vitinha
  4. Mohammad Salah
  5. Raphinha

If this award was given purely to the best player individually, based on the stats appropriate to their position and roles, Raphinha is BY far number 1 on this list, not only does he have the best stats, he was a monster in big games, he gave belt to bayern, madrid, benfica, dortmund, inter milan(both legs), he was there in every big games, and raphinha finished FIFTH, so we know this isn't the correct criteria

If the award was given based on trophies then obviously vitinha wouldve won it and this is definitely not the criteria

Now if the award was given simply based on both combined, which is what people say, in what world does Yamal finish 2nd and Raphinha 5th? In what world does Salah finish above Raphinha?

The only way to make sense of it, is the following:

A player must have "good enough stats", some type of "bare minimum", in addition to trophies being a huge factor, while also taking into consideration the player with the most recent "noises" around him, which is why yamal finished 2nd it's because of his performance vs inter milan and vs france in the nations league and all the noise around it, if spain won the final and dembele didn't assist in the supercup yamal wouldve won it, also this is why raphinha was 5th because brazil isn't in the euros obviously and he didn't get a chance to do anything with his national team, so he and salah were equal in that regard and salah just happened to edge him out in the votings

And we also notice an important thing, no matter how good your campaign in a tournament is, winning the tournament is the most importance part

Based on ALL of this, let's see Yamal:

✅ He does have the "bare minimum" stats as the pic shows

✅ He does have great success in terms of trophies he won the league, the super cup and the world cup

✅ He has the most noise around him and we should make sure that this stays the case, that's what i meant by "push for it"

Kane doesn't have the 2nd, Mbappe doesn't have the 2nd, olise and dembele are the closest to it but they don't edge yamal the world cup is the biggest trophy

The criteria that made Raphinha finish 5th is the same one that will make Yamal win it, he definitely wasn't the best player in the world last season, but well it doesn't matter, raphinha was the best in the world and didn't win it.

I want ferran to stay as much as the next person does, but when we look at the situation, he should leave

So basically ferran has 2 incentives:
He wants a starting role
He wants better wages

Concerning the starting role, his experience with barca proved that he is the super sub type of player, he is more effective coming from the bench, also he is definitely one of the best players in the world in terms of positioning, but his finishing has let us down multiple times, you don't score a world cup winning goal and think we will forget the countless times you singlehandedly costed us games with your missed chances, again he misses them because he's a great player and is able to be there in the first place, but this isn't a good enough profile for a starting striker for a club who wants to compete with PSG and Bayern for the UCL, also this is Barca not a mid table team for him to ask for a guaranteed role.

And concerning the wages there really isn't much to say, he knows barca's financial situation and how everything is handled carefully by the club and there isn't alot of room for freedom.

Best case scenario is that we manage to sell him for 70-80M euros, only 1 year is left in his contract

Who do you want the new Legend character to be? I personally want this guy

For context they announced that next week we are getting a new universe survival saga character, i really believe he fits the ultra rarity so much but i guess he isn't hype enough for most so a legend at least would be cool

u/HyperSlayer1X — 29 days ago

Am i the only one who's pvp experience just got completely ruined by this guy?

I was legit having fun, i managed to reach top 2K, and now i am getting pummled every single game by UVB, literally 6 games in a row, the weakest of them was 10 stars the rest are 14, i am not saying its a mistake for that reason tho but lowkey pvp isnt fun now

u/HyperSlayer1X — 30 days ago

I take it back, PLEASE keep the rising rush 🙏

Rushing buubies with broly before they went into preparation mode is the only reason i stood a chance against this bs of a team, straight out of the depths of hell (for context i made a post yesterday saying that RR should be removed)

u/HyperSlayer1X — 1 month ago

How realistic is it to try to go from top 4K to god rank with this specific team? Will it be able to compete with teams that have 3 powerful characters?

I am using super gogeta because i need a character who is both sagas from the movies AND a saiyan for my gogeta and broly equips, there is god vegeta but his element and the fact that he doesn't have blast armor is an issue, will gogeta blue and broly alone as the only "powerful" units be able to compete against for example a team like this one but with buubies instead of super gogeta

Legend actions are becoming too rewarding for such a low effort attack

Look at tag gohan and trunks's for example, such a easy to land attack that is near guaranteed to hit on multiple instances nullifies endurance, same with legend rose he increases sub counts by 3, i believe an attack that easy to land being linked to blue cards is more than enough, i would argue that it might be too much sometimes but its still tolerable since ALL legend units share this feature, i really hope this trend doesn't continue (it will)

Dragonball Legends is wasted potential

I am talking specifically about character choices, and there are 2 main points: Laziness + Greed, and Incompetence

Greed directly leads to laziness here, for example we got an LF beast gohan in legends festivals 2023, we enter legends festival 2024 and people are anticipating an Ultra Beast gohan, so instead of them giving an Ultra to DBS broly, or to Final form Cooler, or to Beerus, they saw what people are speculating the most and didn't bother to be creative, they were lazy with their choice. Another example is the Dead Zone (or garlic jr) campaign, instead of making the characters LFs they made them Sparkings because they're simply not "flashy" enough

Now when we look at older releases, we have LFs for these characters: early saiyan saga piccolo, first form frieza, goten, ssgss vegeta who fought black, garlic jr and tag goku and frieza are literally on the same tier as these guys; same for the ginyu force units (at least captain ginyu), so it's clear that it's not ONLY greed because even in the "modern" dbl we still got LFs for units like turles movie goku, cell saga goku, which brings me to my 2nd point which is incompetence

It really seems like these guys don't know what they wanted with the LF rarity, is it exclusive to a certain tier ot characters? Is it for the "main" unit of each campaign? Or is it just short term planning without a proper criteria, we got our 3rd damn LF saiyan saga vegeta in the 6th anni before our first LF raditz, LF Hit, LF super buu and many other units, and i am not saying they ALWAYS chase what people want or anticipate, because if they did maybe we wouldve gotten cooler movie goku and vegeta instead of another saiyan saga vegeta in the 6th anni, maybe we wouldve gotten a legend kaioken goku that fought hit instead of shallet.

And talking about kaioken goku, why the HELL is the kaioken ultra goku that we have the one who fought jiren? I have alot to say about ultras too but it would just be recycling what i already mentioned, i really believe DBL couldve had a much better roster and much better campaigns if they actually just taken it more seriously, the way they treated the daima units, and when we look at the timing of the daima units, it really says alot, we got the adult versions before the kid versions and when we got the kid versions they were in separate timeframes

So in short i believe they just don't know how to (or simply don't want to) handle our "wants" in a way that's better for the game, i know this is a gacha game and they just want to make as much money as possible but DBL isn't just any gacha game, we had strong F2P units with unique animations back in the day, we had Free ultras, we had some "braver" character choices, if it weren't for that i wouldn't have posted this because it would be stupid to call out a game for trying to make more money, but again things couldve been way better with this game

I really still have many things to say about units being released weak, and more examples about character choices and releases timings, but i think i managed to express my thoughts

Why aren't we getting more of these events, it's like they forgot the "special" tab as a whole

The lack of content here is outrageous, we have the missions that give Z power to the super hero and daima units (only the legends fest 2024 ones), but also they didn't add the OTHER events that give Z power to a certain character like Ultra frieza and LR rose's, obviously i am not complaining about such a niche detail i am just using it as an example to show how forgotten this is
