I would recommend putting in 20,000. The app gives you an 8.1% APY for 2 months on the first $20,000 you have in. Buying stocks is not necessary at all and the cash you do not invest is fully FDIC insured and gets you that insane 8.1% rate on top of whatever free stock you get at the end of the two months. There is no reason not to use the app.

Thoughts on Stock App Promotions

Let's say I have 20k in liquid cash and I don't need access to it at all. Risk free investing is obviously better than otherwise, given similar gains. I was looking at ways to take advantage of certain deals or promotions, and it looks like there is an app called moomoo which is legit and backed by the FDIC. If you invest 10k for 2 months they give you 200 in free stock and 8.1% APY on the uninvested cash for two months, which is almost double the highest in the nation. Is there any reason to not take advantage of something like this?

Moving back to NYC

I moved out of state for a few years and have decided I miss the city. My entire family used to live here but now it's just my grandmother, she has an apartment in NYC and I am moving back to take care of her.

I found out the apartment is stabilized, I can be take over the lease since it is on a family members name, rent is under $600 a month and its a 2 bedroom, it also has in unit washer/dryer, the heat and hot water are also paid for. How rare is this?
