I had a save file mess up on me and in the process of trying to fix it I noticed the very first line in the file was the amount of terratokens. I made a copy of a different file just in case then edited that number. it works!

you can give yourself millions of terratokens just by adding a few numbers in notepad. is this just really wrong or do others give themselves millions of terratokens? it feels like cheating, but it's not a competitive game, does that make it ok?

once I get to mammals, I usually start decorating my base. once my base is awesome it's just a waiting game for fully terraformed, but I never make it. I always look at what I've done and think of ways I could have done it better, which leads to me restarting. that early game challenge seems more fun to me, so are there any tips you have to help me not restart before full terraformation?

edit: I powered through and reached full terraformation! sort of had to force myself to find little side projects so I wasn't just staring at the progress screen. thanks all for the tips/advice.

I've run all around trying to place it, but it's red no matter where I try to place it. it's above the boulders, the cliff wall is way off in the background(those were the first things google blamed).

edit: figured it out, it will only snap on the stair side.

I was launching rockets, I try to wait for one to fully launch before building the next. I mistimed a build, bottom of last rocket caught the top of the second, and second rocket just fell on the ground with the engine going when I clicked launch. I deconstructed it, rebuilt and relaunched, does the first launch still count? I restarted so I don't have a screen for the rockets unlocked yet.

edit: thanks everyone for the answers. I finally unlocked the orbital screen only one of them counted(or only one is in orbit).

I've been running my incubators for almost an hour, and only got ulani. I asked google and it said 5-10% chance, but the rate drops once your biomass reaches a certain level. I was exploring crash sites my entire fish era(from just before it started, and now I'm at amphibian), so am I out of luck?

should I just start making frogs instead?

I got this game last week, jumped in blind(loving it even though I got my first base flooded and had to restart), and I've been using turbines to mark my paths. I'll place them every so often usually so I can see my last two. I keep looking at the beacon construct, is it worth it? are wind turbines good enough to mark paths or should I upgrade to beacons?

every time I'm in piastovia, and I see him up there, I go up and sprint into him until he falls off. is it just me being mean, or do we all do it?

I have a shed with emergency kits for most situations. I live in an area with lots of hurricanes so my hurricane kit is probably my best designed and most used kit. I have food and water, as well as light sources and basics that work for most emergencies, but my actual zombie kit is just a large storage box filled with different types of duct tape.

I honestly don't know what else I should even put in there, so I'm asking here. any suggestions?

I often create my characters based on real people(or cartoon and anime characters). just curious if this is common, or do most players just design a random character. I'm currently playing a Dolly Parton character, which I'm guessing no one else ever has.
