Hello! I have a drop ceiling in my basement and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the broadband absorption tiles either DIY or from companies like GIK. Would this be sufficient in place of an actual suspended ceiling cloud below the drop ceiling?
Specifically, what techniques will get you a lower and more woody knocking tone? Mostly in the context of things to configure before the tracking process
Edit: I forgot to mention, I am recording my own drumset which has (I believe) a 60s-70s Ludwig Supraphonic snare

Had some water damage from a plumbing incident that leaked from first floor to basement ceiling, went through drywall and some drop ceiling tiles. I plan to gut the wet drywall, but is it necessary to replace? Not sure why it was there in the first place
