In my 20 years of playing pokemon (since 2006), I have NEVER gotten so lucky with a full odds shiny.
I decided to do a platinum run on my old 3ds, and I happened to have an odd trainer ID (didn’t check til i got the explorer kit in Eterna City). “Cool,” I said, “I can do a playthrough with Cranidos.”
I spammed the underground until I get a skull fossil, got a normal Cranidos in platinum, then transferred it over to HGSS, which is my go-to save file for breeding. My goal was an adamant Cranidos with 31IV ATK and SPE to transfer back to Platinum.
Multiple cranidos, ditto, everstone and power item rotations later (to pass on IV’s/50% chance on nature), and this pink homie pops up after about 25 eggs.
I farmed pokedollars from the rich dude (w/amulet coin) at olivine so i could buy 10 carbos and 10 protein.
I spammed the battle tower for BP to get the desired tm’s
Blackthorn City with power anklet for magikarp farming (252 SPE EV)
More Blackthorne City magikarp with power bracer to keep the level low
Finishing touches for ATK EV with power bracer at mt silver fighting seaking (252 ATK EV)
1 tangela at pallet town (4 DEF EV)
Got all 510 EV’s by the time i hit level 14!
He will do a full playthrough of platinum, get all ribbons, then transfer back to HGSS to get more ribbons + shiny crown… and then he will solo Red.
Headbutt will be replaced with rock polish and iron tail will be replaced with fire punch during my platinum run.
In 20 years of playing, I have encountered 4 full odds shinies. This is number 5!
1 in 8,192 for the shiny, 50% chance of adamant with everstone, perfect attack and defense passed on from parents, random roll on the SPE IV (28.15%)
0.0017184% not including the 50/50 on the trainer ID

Hello! Over the past 4 months or so, the same transformer across the road (responsible for our apartment complex’s power) has shorted twice. Three times if you zoom out to the past year.
Every time i ask the dudes who pull up in the white trucks, they say it shorted.
Like, is it that difficult to fix a transformer? does this point to a bigger issue? Or do transformers just suck in general?

Just yesterday, my daddy refused to give me my trust fund monthly allowance because I got a C on a physics test in college. He said that if I had to go into the job market right now instead of taking over his small business, no one would hire me. Pffft what an idiot, i’m literally better than 99% of the rats scurrying to get this job. He doesn’t understand.
Anyways, because my daddy didn’t give me my trust fund monthly allowance, I wasn’t able to buy my girlfriend of 2 weeks the 2026 Mercedes S-Class she wanted. She broke up with me over it… and now I have to get onto my PJ and fly ALL THE WAY TO CABO to get another one. What a fucking headache.
The issue is, he’s not letting me use the PJ either until i get my overall grade back up to a B!!!
Honestly, it feels like my life is over. Now i have nothing to spend this month, no imported girlfriend, no PJ to fly anywhere I want. And i’m telling you bro, there is NO way i’m getting a B in physics so idk when daddy is going to give me my monthly allowance and PJ privileges again.

Once upon a time last October, a worker at walmart found this little guy inside a cardboard box next to the walmart dumpster riddled with fleas. I just so happened to go through her check-out line at around 8pm that evening, and by 11am the next morning, I became the proud owner of this lil guy. Took him to the vet, got the fleas removed, and now he's my best friend :)
This is Milo, and the vet and I think he's around 11 months old, measuring 21 inches from base of the beck to base of the tail! Based on genetic testing, the way he looks and his shockingly rapid growth, we're confident he's mostly Maine Coone.
Now, I've heard that Maine Coons mature much slower than other cats. In fact, it takes them 2-3 years to reach full maturity as many of you know.
He hasn't begun spraying, he's still in his "kitten" or "teen" phase, and exhibits no sign of aggression outside of when he wrestles with his toys or ambushes me around a corner.
I've been told by some that I should have gotten him neutered IMMEDIATELY (we think he was like 1-2 months old when she found him), while others say I should neuter at the 1 year+ mark and only do it when Milo begins presenting symptoms of spraying or aggression.
I'm a bit lost here as a first time cat owner. I'm on my own in this world, I don't really have anyone to ask and I don't trust AI responses with this kind of decision. My biggest fear is disrupting his hormonal development by cutting off his balls too early.
What do I do? When should I neuter?
Edit: thank you so much for the advice guys! I’ll get him neutered ASAP. Looks like i got lucky he hasn’t sprayed yet or gotten aggressive. I’ll set it up for this weekend or next!
