Hi,

I'm 20 and I've never had a girlfriend before. I've been extremely introverted my entire life because of severe mental health issues. I have always struggled with loneliness, especially this past year, since I just started realizing how pathetic and sad it is to have never been in a relationship for someone my age. My one best friend is going away for college soon and my other friend has a lot of other friends to hangout with. I'm alone.

I'm always told that I'm at least somewhat attractive, but nothing has come out of it. I've tried to be social before in school but everyone talked to me like I wasn't human. I was bullied, teased, and thought about ending my life multiple times to the point where my grandma called the police on me.

Over the past few months, I've changed my style, attempting to be more social and open towards others, etc. I want to experience what its like to love someone. So whenever I see a happy couple around my age out in public, I start to cry and overthink. I wish that was me. I'd do anything just to experience it. It seems like every boy my age has a girlfriend while im left on the sideline.

I don't think I can deal with this anymore. I believe fate can be broken. But what's the point in trying if it always ends up in shit? It doesn't help that I deliver for Doordash for a living, so I'm always out and about.

The only girls that have actually been interested in me on dating apps are one's with a body count of over ten, which I find unattractive. It's embarrassing when I admit I'm a virgin still. They're always shocked. I'm not. I'm left emotionless about it at this point.

Is this something I only struggle with? Because from what I've seen, I think its only me. A therapist rarely helps. Talking it out to my loved ones only have a short term impact. Idk anymore.

This has been a HUGE problem on dating sites. I think everyone knows this. But as a 20M who has never had a girlfriend, I'm still not sure what to do.

For example, I often get matches and likes on dating apps. However, most of the time, they don't even respond to my first message. I'm stuck there questioning what was even the point in swiping right if you aren't gonna at least try a conversation?

I always respond as fast as I can. But it feels like girls always do the opposite. I get that people are busy. However, I also believe that if someone is genuinely interested in another, they'd make time out of their day to respond.

It's probably because im the second or third or even seventh option on their list. The ratio of boys and girls on dating sites is very lopsided. So my question ultimately is, should I just unfriend them if they do this more than once? I don't see a point in trying. It makes me seem desperate and hurts mentally.

I'd appreciate the advice.

Those stats used to look a lot better. But the last two months have been nothing but Hell.

All of the orders I receive are terrible. And when there's a good order, it turns into a problem. I am not driving 2 miles for $4. I am not driving 12.5 miles for $5. I am not driving 11 miles for $9 in a double order. I am not driving 3 miles for $6 that takes more than 20 mins. I'm not doing it.

I guess this is what I get for not being a platinum, gold, or even silver dasher. However, it's not my fault that my acceptance and completion rate is so low because all I get is straight garbage.

I used to make around $25/hr. Now I'm lucky to make minimum wage. This is all while using up gas and driving up milage too btw.

I've studied and tested the very best spots to sit and wait for orders. But they're all inconsistent. There are too many drivers nowadays. I'm probably competing against drivers who have a 5 star rating in everything. Maybe I should've been perfect like them when I first started out. Whoops!

I took this job because it's very flexible and independent. Now I've realized that trying to be more open and social doesn't fit with this kind of job at all. It destroys my mental health. I could be making good money like before. But I guess something happend along the way that completely screwed me.

It also doesn't help that the app is insanely glitchy and the customers are assholes. Yeah, argue with me because the restaurant forgot something or some crap. Blame me because I'm a little late because of traffic. Hate me because the app glitched out on the way so I delivered to the wrong apartment complex or number. It's not like I can simply close the app and reopen it then it'll magically work. I have to restart my entire phone, which takes time to do.
