How much this plate can have? AI says 1700, I don't want to believe it...

Basically the title.

This was one of my dinners made by mom, I tried to use AI calorie tracker and it estimated it for around 1700 calories...

I don't want to believe that a single meal (which didn't even made me full) is taking up 75% of daily calorie intake...

For context, everything on that plate is around 680g

Opus 5 stupidity got to me

I know, I know, all of you are all sick of people complaining about anthropic models, I was one of them until I've got really fed up with the new opus 5...

Long story short - I had a bug with one of the features in my app, I described the issue to opus 5, pointed to relevant files, etc. It did not fix the bug, but made the situation even worse. I thought okay, shit happens, so I made all the hard work for him, I came up with different solutions, explained them to opus and all I wanted from it to simply implement those solutions. Do you know what that lazy ass did? IT REMOVED THE ENTIRE FEATURE. Who would've thought that in prompt where you ask it to fix thw bug within some feature you need to specify that you do not need the entire feature gone. Definitely not me, but from now on I'll start specifying even this...

Sorry for the rant, it just really made my blood boil...

TLDR:

I asked Opus 5 to fix a bug within a feature, and that lazy ass decided it'll be easier to delete the feature itself rather than fixing that bug.

Improved range visualizations and targeting animations in my Roguelike Tower Defense game

Working on a big update for my game Qubicks and one of the things I added was a range circle when you select a tower, with nice glow and pulsations that actually show delay between each shot, then a highlight on every enemy inside that range, as you can change targeting modes for each tower, so you can also easily check which enemy is currently being targeted, and finally a visualization of currently selected tower, as if there are a lot of them near each other, at latter waves, just a range circle around it, is often not enough.

Rebuilding the range visualization for my TD because the late-game waves were unreadable. Do these new range animations clearly show the kill zone?

My game flopped right after launch and that is no surprise when I'm looking at it now, I was probably too burned out back then to notice all the flaws, but now I cannot accept this level of laziness in my game!

So I decided to start with improvements to range visualization to the towers, now the "range circle" has a pleasant animation to it and not just a plain color one, and on top of it enemies get highlighted when they enter it as well as the targeted enemy got this scope.

And I'd love to hear from TD fans what do you think about it? I'm genuinely interested in your feedback as I believe there is still room for improvement!

And if you're interested in the game, it's called Qubicks and there is a free demo to try out!
