Part of my recovery!! 1 year post op

I watched to spread this information out! I’m doing PT due to my hysterectomy and just other nervous symptoms regarding my pelvic.

Dilators is part of my PT and I’m excited to use them for my recovery. They can be expensive, so I found an organization that provided them for me and all I had to pay was the shipping fee! If you need the information lmk!

Did you or do you know anyone who had to navigate university part time/ quarter time?

I’m wondering if anyone has ever gone through university part time/quarter time?
I’ll be going for Africology and African American studies with a minor for international affairs
I’m transferring to university next year but I can only take credits underneath full time status, so that’s about max 11 credit hours. The reasoning why, I won’t explain too much but it has to do with my housing and I can’t lose that.

I’ll be transferring a good amount of credits, all of my Gen Ed’s will be completed, so that’s about 60 credits maybe a little over. I live in Michigan, so we have this thing called the MTA, I’ve completed mine!

If anyone has taken this route, what advice would you give me?

Excessive picking at my scalp, could anxiety meds help?

Hey, keep things short and sweet because I’m sure this is a common thing that gets asked. But, I’ve been picking at my scalp and scabs, and acne spots for majority of my life. I did try NAC and I found that it didn’t really do much for me? I was wondering if anxiety meds could work? I do know it’s also teaching myself not to pick… but that’s really hard 🥺

I don’t know why I pick, it’s just comforting? I have my favorite spots that I like to pick at as well. Idk if the hair will ever be able to grow back, I think it can. It’ll just take time since I’ve been picking at it back to back.

I also wanted to add that I have undiagnosed reasonings to my blood pressure being high. Which is why I haven’t really been able to tackle my ADHD due to fear it’ll make my blood pressure worse.

I will talk to my psychiatrist about this whenever they reach back out to me… they tend to go ghost a lot.

Figure I see what advice you guys have!

What should I do with my hair?

My hair texture definitely has changed since being on HRT for 6 years, I’ve gone through a different selection of styles. I enjoyed the locs and I do love my Afro, though it can feel overwhelming to deal with. I can’t seem to pinpoint what products to use for my hair. As well as not sure on which style looks better on me.

I’ll show a couple of pics of the styles I’ve tried over the past 6 years being on T.

Advisor Mentioned I Should Double-Major

Hello! I'm currently finishing up an associate degree at my community college and will be transferring to a University next year Fall (August). I spoke to an advisor at the Uni, and she mentioned that it'll be highly recommended that I consider a double-major, and I've never heard of this being a thing.

For more context, I'll be pursuing either a degree in Global Studies or World Literature, Languages, and Cultures. She mentioned that some folks would pair these up with Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Accounting, Etc.

My goal is to become fluent in one or more languages (someday), and I'd love to do more humanitarian aid work. I'd also like to teach English to those who are in need of learning! I'm leaning more towards working abroad rather than just in the US.

I absolutely hate math, so I wanted to clear this up before anybody recommends it to me.

I'm not really asking for ideas, just more of an understanding of why people pursue double majors, and whether a double major costs more money than just a regular major.

*Edit* Forgot to mention, I've completed my MTA requirements such as Natural Science, Social, Math, and English.

4 years post op! I have a huge question about sunscreen :)

Hello, I’m 4 years post op from September 2022 and I want to go shirtless for pride and I know I should’ve known about this before but I don’t remember if I’m required to wear sunscreen and if so which level?

I know that my skin is different than lighter skin tones but I have been trying to wear more sunscreen to protect my skin!

I’ll take any suggestions on sunscreen products that aren’t harmful to the skin of course.

Hey, last post didn’t get any attention. I’m reposting, my ear has a weird pimple/bump/cyst? Idk what it is.

Hey, so it starts off harden and itchy and swelling. Then it becomes less irritated and it feels mushy a little bit and idk what it is!

I did reach out to my doc about it so I am waiting to hear from her but I figured I’ll ask on here as well.

Can’t tell what’s Behind my ear, swelling, hardness, itchy.

It’s hard, and sometime it hurts if I touch it almost like a burning sensation, it also itches too. It went away but then it came back recently what could it be?

I have a doc appointment in the upcoming weeks but figure I’ll see what you guys think as well.

Heyo, second egg cleanse

This egg cleanse was just my second time attempting to see if there’s any blockages in my life. I have been feeling as if people are out to get me in certain spaces and I’ve been feeling down.

I’m not 100% sure what I’m looking at but from what I seen is that there could be many folks talking about me and placing evil eyes on me. I also seen a very tiny red streak on the yolk and a red dot underneath the yolk as in separation. But it’s in the coating around the yolk.

Negative blockages could be from me and others I surround myself around.

I seen that the coating of the yolk can mean I’ve been anger lately and I definitely have been.

I’m worried for the redness as I seen it can mean a curse or hex and that I should go see a doc which I will to get a check up.

Just wanted to see if anybody else had something I missed or if what I was told is incorrect.

The water is clear which I assume is a good sign.
