Modern era Diplomatic victory requirements (UN)

I feel like I used to know this but I can’t find it anywhere now.

I’m the Sec-Gen but my opponent built the UN. Diplomatic victory doesn’t come up as a resolution option for me.

Is it because I haven’t discovered Mass Media yet? I’m behind on most tech.

Yarrrr! Anyone else do this?

One of my consistent actions (I wouldn’t even call it a strategy because I do it if the geography allows even if it’s detrimental to my goals, economy etc.); Is to build a fleet of privateers just to play hit and run and delay upgrading them as long as possible.

I’m just sinking caravels at this point with my last anachronistic pirate from this purpose built fort and around this channel. I also hang onto airships to scout for submarines. I had a much larger fleet but a few were sunk from lost combat and a war, then later it looked like Washington might try to jump this channel so I upgraded the rest to repel him if needed.

My best set ever was a game where I had 50+ working out of an island city off of a long continent.

Tony Snell could technically compete in the Special Olympics due to having a diagnosis of autism.

Tony Snell was diagnosed with autism at the age of 31. He was diagnosed after his son was diagnosed with autism and Tony himself sought a diagnosis as well.

Because of his autism diagnosis, Tony is technically eligible to compete in the Special Olympics. In some jurisdictions, simply having a diagnosis of this condition is enough to compete.

He'd be the Michael Jordan of the Special Olympics if he decided to sign up and play basketball for them.

January, 2045 Princeton. Coach Steveroy HorseChief update. 🐅

Ranked No. 4 currently (6 in The Coaches Poll); We are now 16-0!

Made it through non-conference play with some lineup shuffles and some challenging injuries.

Huge wins for the program against Miami (ranked 25th at the time), and Georgia Tech and Michigan on the road in nail biters that came down to the final shot.

I’ve passed Herb Magee to become the 2nd winningest coach in men’s college basketball history.

This year’s squad has been led by Sr. SG Jermaine Bennett. He’s started games at the 1, 2 and 3 (primarily) this year and played all 5 positions. He’s having a career year 17/2/2 and has just gone over 1,000 points, 100 games and will start his 50th upcoming against Penn. He should easily cross 2,500 minutes towards 3,000 by the end of his career.

Rwehabura Iti So. SF continues to be my strong 6th man (2 starts due to injuries) and is shooting .616 from the field. Again a guy who can play all 5 positions.

Pulled one out of the fire against WVU to take my side of The Liberty Bell Classic 89-81!

West Virginia has a 6’9” 231 lbs. Jr. SF from Toronto, Samuel Barrett who may be the best forward in the country. He played hurt along with another starter and their only rostered center coming off the bench. I don’t know if I would have made it past a healthy squad.

My stating backcourt both had career high scoring games (Surov’s first 20 point game too). 3/14 from 3 definitely has to improve. Fr. starters Korajkic and Hope are working hard out there. Hope had 3 of his 4 blocks on a single possession.

We’re now 5-0 to start the season. Big game coming up next week against Villanova on the road.

Edit: Game was on a Saturday. Moved forward to Monday and the first updated polls are out.

MEDIA POLL
Maryland has moved to 1 from 2 in the preseason at 5-0.

New to the Top 10: UNC at 8 (12), OU 9 (13), FU 10 (11).

New to the top 25: ARK 19, UK 21, MSST 22, ALA 23 and UVA 24.

COACHES POLL Top 3: MD, SCAR, TTU

MID MAJOR POLL Top 3: SPC 1, HAW 2, PRIN 3!

We’re garnering national attention. Go Tigers! 🐅

89-82 victory in a tight one until the final 15 seconds. Miami was led by 7’3” 288 lbs. Jr. C out of Ft. Myers, FL who put up 17/5/4 with 4 steals and 3 blocks. Miami shot 10/19 from deep.

Princeton pulled together as a team to knock off their first ranked opponent.

Sr. SG 6’4” 226 lbs. from Philly, Jermaine Bennett led the Tigers with 19/5/3 with 2 steals and a block.

The bench stepped up with So. SF Rwehabura Iti 6’10” 244 lbs. from New York, NY had 8/3 with 4 blocks. Fr. C Pee-Wee Hoffman 6’9” 237 lbs. out of The Bronx added 10/2 with a steal and a chase down block inside of 2 minutes.

Coach Steveroy HorseChief Nov, 2044 Princeton update

Finally shaping my program towards making a title run. I’ve got 4 Fr. and 4 So. that are a solid core entering year 38 of my zero sim career. 3 scholarships this year to fill so I’m trying to find the final pieces.

Hoping to crack the polls this season. I got to No. 2 in the Mid-Major poll last season behind St. Peter’s (my previous school).

There’s some newer Blue Blood schools in my universe. Every school in the polls right now has been to a Final Four with the exception of Vanderbilt. South Carolina has been to 3 with 2 titles and is coached by my former assistant.
