Anyone know an affordable therapist?

I am going through a lot in my personal life (marriage, parents) and I feel my mental health would benefit a lot through therapy.

However, every therapist I research online that has good reviews is also incredibly expensive. I am hoping I don’t have to spend too much. It’s already difficult to manage expenses living with a spendthrift family.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Looking for 2-4 sessions a month. Preferably online.

Any apps that allow wallet loads with Amex?

I have an Amex Platinum Reserve and just wondering if there are any apps now that allow wallet loads for Amex.

I used MobiKwik earlier but haven’t found an alternative after MobiKwik stopped Amex.

TIA

Which app allows wallet loads for Amex?

Lately I’m unable to find any apps that allow wallet loads for Amex cards. I’m not concerned about the premium charged by the apps. Please let me know if there any apps that still allow Amex to be loaded to wallet and then transfer to bank.

TIA

Is the job market really bad? (Big 4 Consulting, 5+ years experience post MBA)

I graduated with MBA in 2020 from a Tier-2 B-school (New IIM). Currently make ~37 LPA.

I currently work as a Senior Consultant at one of the Big-4 firms in Healthcare/Insurance Consulting. Prior to this I have close to 1 year Finance experience at a big Indian bank (non sales role).

I recently had some big events in my personal life and realized how unhelpful my workplace actually is. So I’m looking to switch and I’m absolutely not getting any calls. I have no idea why. I am applying to product firms who are competitors of my consulting clients (I can’t apply for the clients I worked with) and I’m also parallelly applying to other management consulting firms. I have not tried applying to other Big-4 firms as I feel they are not going to be very different.

So, are firms not hiring or is it just me?

How to deal with narcissistic MIL and a wife who won’t stand up to her mother?

My(31M) wife (31F) thinks her mother can do no wrong and I don’t know what to do. I’ll give some context

We are currently staying my wife’s parents house because she just had a baby and we have been here for a few months now and will be here another couple of months probably

Situation 1: This happened a few months ago. My wife was trying to cook something and it didn’t turn out great. These are the literal words (translation my lose some effect in English) my MIL has said to her: “You can never cook as good as me if you had ever listened to me when I was trying to teach you, you probably would have achieved something in life”. This comment was made very seriously and not in a fun way. It made me feel very bad so I tried to de escalate by saying something funny. I thought that was the end of it but after this was over when my wife and I are alone she tells me her mother only says for her good and I don’t have to question anything when she says. This is very out of character for her because we have been married almost 4 years now and I know she has a very close relationship with her but I don’t know when it turned into her accepting humiliation from her mother

Situation 2: My MIL wanted to bathe the baby in the evening today and my wife said no because he immediately sleeps if he bathes and it’s time for feeding but not paying any attention she straight away took him into the bath room called the nanny and gave him a bath. I was absolutely shocked by this because MIL can’t make decisions about our baby without checking with us. Now when I brought this to my wife she says let it be because it’s just a bath and my MIL is also angry because I told my wife that MIL can’t do this without my wife’s consent. No one seems to understand my point here it’s not about the bath but no one should even touch our baby without mine or my wife’s consent but my wife thinks I’m overreacting because it’s just a bath

This is just the tip of the iceberg every decision every conversation my MIL tries to humiliate my wife and she just takes it and when I try talking to her she says it’s different in my home and your home we are very close in my home even boys don’t talk back to mothers (this comes from multiple conversations in my family where people actually respect each other and we don’t tolera disrespect)

I don’t know if I’m losing my mind here because I have no peace since I’ve been staying here. I’d really like some outside observers opinion because I don’t know if I’m the one in the wrong here may be I’m not seeing it may be I grew up wrong?

AITK for being offended by my MILs comment?

So context I (31M) has been staying at my wife’s (31F) parents place for a few weeks now since my wife just had a baby boy.

Today in the evening I was changing a diaper and a soon as I removed the diaper my son started peeing again and it was pretty funny me and my wife started laughing at the projectile peeing incident. Now because of the bed got wet we were changing him on the bed and this is on the side where I sleep. My wife and I talked and decided we don’t need to change the sheets since it’s only 3 drops on the bed and we changed the bedsheet only a few minutes before this incident.

Hearing us laugh my mother in law walked in and asked what happened and we narrated this to her and she goes “I wouldn’t change the sheets since it’s only your side of the bed” and I felt bad hearing that but had a straight face and after she left the room I told my wife that I didn’t like what she said and my wife said her mother didn’t mean anything by it and it was a routing comment I said okay if you think so I’m willing to let it go but my wife went outside the room and told it to her mom. Her mom came into the room with a clean set of sheets and changed the bed sheet and apologized to me. Now I feel very awkward about the whole thing.

My wife has always been very sensitive when it comes to her parents and she thinks they can do now wrong and they are greatest gift to humanity and refuses to accept they can say/do anything wrong.

She is angry now and not talking to me because I didn’t like what her mother said and tells me I should stop reading into everything.

So AITK?

TLDR: My son peed on the bedsheet and my MIL said she would not change the bed sheet because it’s only on my side of the bed and my wife thinks I shouldn’t be offended because the comment doesn’t mean anything.
