First day as express tech in 8 hours

I’m in school studying automotive technology, today, I’ll be at the dealership at 8am starting as en express technician.
I wonder what are some things I should keep in mind for now and later
From working on the car, down to when it comes to customers

I’d especially love to hear from some women technicians too!!

My baby is epileptic

(Reposting because I was on wrong account)

TLDR: (Now) 6 year old husky randomly started getting seizures at 5. Idiopathic epilepsy as far as I know, but eating grass is a trigger. She randomly shakes her head, cause of concern?

She suddenly started getting seizures last year. Sometime around spring (I don’t remember the exact month) she then had cluster seizures in August, she was taken to the emergency vet where they held her for 24 hours. She was prescribed levetiracetam (keppra) she used to take one pill 3x a day and now it’s 1 1/2 pill, 3x a day. I was told told to follow up with a veterinary neurologist to work up the cause of her seizures. I haven’t taken her, 2 reasons, 1st being the $$$ and the 2nd being she hasn’t shown any signs of concern. But sometimes she’ll randomly shake her head like her ears itch or something, like if you feel a bug land on your head and you shake your head lol.
That sort of quick shake. That’s the only thing that makes me paranoid about her epilepsy.
I have to watch her like a hawk when we’re outside because when she eats grass, she starts to vomit then she has a seizure, pesticides maybe? But yes she does have a seizure, out of nowhere, without having eaten grass. Vets haven’t ever shown any concern over any of her test results when she has her usual routine visits.

The strong urge to get a bike

My love for bikes started after dirt biking in central america. Then grew my love for bikes, sport bikes, from watching them fly by me and making the rev it gesture to them lol

I really do want a bike, but then I see all these social media creators posting their crashes, some of them with life changing injuries, then there are the less fortunate that have passed away, r.i.p 🕊️
It’s scary, being the most vulnerable on the road

Then there’s other posts that I’ll see and I’ll see comments from different people talking about riding for over 10+, 20+, 30+, years and it makes me feel a little less on the edge

I can get a used bike easier than I could get a new car, which I can’t afford a new car which is why I want a bike. That’s what I can afford for the time being.

Like I mentioned at the start, the vulnerability scares me; how would I adapt to certain weather conditions on a bike? And there’s so much gear to look into. Then there’s the msf course, I don’t know. There’s just so much I need to research and thinking about this sends me into a spiral 🫩

I just want to really know all the pros and cons and if it’d be worth it or not.

The deadline to submit the fafsa for my school is May 13, my dad didn’t file his taxes for 2024 but I have his 1099-nec

I don’t know if there’s anyway for me to still apply for fafsa without his 2024 1040, I thought there was considering before it got to the part of it asking for the tax form information it asked “Did or will the parent file” and he said he’s going to so obviously I put yes because he will file but that’s another thing I’m worried about, I have until May 13 so I don’t know how he’ll have his 1040 by that date

I don’t know what to dooooo 🥲
