Do we even have an illustration for Arcadia ?

Say there’s a mythological hero that is not very popular and not much is known about them. Then there comes a series featuring a character heavily based on that hero and it blows up in popularity a lot. To the point the character becomes way more known than the actual surviving records of the hero . While the character also becoming the first thing that people think when they hear the name of the mythological hero.

Would this affect the heroic spirt that would be summoned from this specific legend ? And if yes by how much ?
