Staying in Primm tonight!
Heading back to San Diego from a week or so in DT LV and the strip. Thought I'd spend an extra day and stay in Primm. Pretty excited.

Sorry for the derpy picture but I was trying to do it on the down-low.
A couple of guys were opening a slot machine here at my hotel and I saw this and was wondering if anyone knows what this means.
Thank you!
EDIT: Thank you for your answers. It's downtown. What I'm gathering is this is a fairly bad payout, especially for downtown.
Wonder if the entire town has tightened everything up?
An old friend of mine moved to the east coast to play minor league ball and hasn't done so well. He was recently put on a "development list" after a few months in low-A and now I see that there is the moniker "rookie affiliate" next to his name on milb.com.
Can anyone tell me what this means? Thank you!
EDIT: He's been assigned to "FCL"
Pandas, Walgreens and closed escalators.
Heading back to San Diego from downtown (the D) later this week. Thought I would stay at Primm because, hey, I played Fallout, as did you.
$60ish a night for two nights. What do I have to look forward to?
You can tell me.
EDIT: I'm willing to take one for the team here.
I understand the strip is terrible before and after F1 but how about downtown the week after? Got a good deal at the Nuggie that entire Thanksgiving week.
Thank you!
Nightmare time dealing with Fairgrove Property Management in San Diego, California? Is RB Bogstad wandering around the property half naked in the summer? We feel your pain. Please post here.
For some reason it seems like every one of my posts in this forum, whether it's about steakhouses or the Backstreet Boys, triggers a large majority of people and makes them butthurt enough to downvote me and make a snarfy comment but I swear to God this is not a rant, this is actually a question:
Fully half of them are busted at any given time.
In before some pedantic mofo says no it's only 40%.
I'm asking actual escalator technicians.. do escalators break down a whole bunch of the time or is it because many of them are outside in the elements or what's the reason here? I'm actually interested.
Does Vegas not have the money to maintain the public escalators?
You can tell me.
Just want to set the record straight because I read several posts on the interwebs saying that, due to the Luxor pool being renovated, guests could use a Luxor room key to get into Mandalay Bay Beach pool.
The answer is no. The girl at the gate said no and I don't want anyone else to waste his or her time.
I've been approved for a small credit line from Caesar's Palace and I'm a little curious as to how it works.
I guess when I arrive I can just sign the contract and then get what are essentially cash advances from the cashier? I'm mostly going to be playing machines so I won't be getting markers from tables.
I read online that players sign what is essentially a check when they get these cash advances which Caesars can then use to withdraw money from the player's bank accounts. Is this right?
The reason I ask is because I don't really keep much money in checking accounts because of the terrible interest rates so if Caesars tries to withdraw money from my checking account unannounced, it will bounce. I'd need at least a day or two to transfer money from another account into the checking account.
And if I have to keep enough cash in my checking account to make sure the draw goes through, then I might as well just play with the cash I already have rather than use credit.
Or does Caesars give you a certain amount of time to pay back the credit before they initiate a draw from the account?
And how much time is a person given to pay to avoid interest?
Sorry about the dumb questions but this is all very new to me. And I can't find the answers anywhere on Caesar's website.
This is my girlfriend's hat. She's from Modesto. The Nuts were our favorite team 😭
I've seen conflicting information about this but.. can one access the Sahara pool even if one is not a guest and not a local?
I'm over 21. Someone told me I need to be a member of Infinity Rewards which is not a problem but then someone else told me that anyone over 21 can get in.
Thank you!
I hear one of them is still closed. Going to be there in 2 weeks. Can we still get into Mandalay Bay pool instead?
Thank you!
This watch and ribbon belonged to my great grandfather and were just handed down to me and I'm just curious as to what they represent. Google Lens gave me a few perfunctory clues but I thought I'd ask here as well.
Specifically I'm curious as to what type of member (?) these would be given to. Thank you!
EDIT: Yes he himself was a mason. He didn't just pick these things up off the street. There are letters and other assorted trinkets and my dad used to talk about his membership in masonry back in the day. Interesting to see all the rather aggressive skepticism here though.
Thanks to those who gave me any sort of useful information!
Two questions about Caesar's resort credits specifically...
Question 1)
I'm getting conflicting information about whether the resort credits can be used at the casino bars.
Caesar's disclaimer site seems to specifically say they can't: "[Resort credits] may not be used at casino lounges, bars or nightclubs or for gratuity, citywide take-out, minibar purchases or gift cards."
However I've seen a couple of posts on the interwebs stating that people have in fact used them at Caesars casino bars.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Question 2)
How do I check to make sure I have resort credits on a specific trip? With MGM, the confirmation email spells it out. Caesars doesn't.
I have a few trips coming up with Caesars and I know a couple of them include resort credits and a couple don't. I forget which ones are which.
Not sure how to check this online.. or if the kiosk will tell me upon check-in.. or if I have to talk with someone at the desk.
Thank you very much!
My 86-year-old dad gave me this Timex Marlin watch which he purchased new about 65 years ago. Google Lens says it's from 1960-62 based on the markings on the caseback.
So, 65 years old, has never been serviced and hasn't been worn in probably 35 years. Loses about 2 minutes a day. Runs nearly 48 hours. The thing is a tank.
Interestingly, it takes a 17 mm strap which I had to order. I saw conflicting accounts on the interwebs, some people saying it takes a 16 mm and some people saying it takes an 18 mm but, nope, this one takes a 17 mm.
Polished up the plastic domed crystal and looking forward to wearing it.
Question is in the title.
I'm a middle-aged part-time gambler and full-time drinker. Going to be there alone for several days in mid-August, mid-September, mid-October and mid-December.
Arriving Sunday afternoons, leaving Friday mornings each time. Staying at random MGM and Caesars hotels on the strip. Don't care about pools, don't care about shows. I like getting trashed and walking around the strip so any recommendations anywhere on the strip is fine with me.
My priorities are good pours, cheap booze and few patrons. The deader the place the better. I do not really care about ambiance. I ain't there to socialize.
MGM and Caesars properties are a plus because I need to gamble a certain amount to get more comps next year. And I think some of my stays have some sort of resort credit or something. I should probably look that up.
So my question is:
Thank you for your astute answers to my question!
