When shopping for laundry detergents, how do I make sure that I’m not selecting one with OBAs?

Will the ingredient list actually use that specific term?

Or do I need to know other words that are, unbeknownst to the noob, indicative of an OBA?

The app for my 2025 Mini Countryman now requires me to sign and authorize BMW to “share” my info.

I hope I’m just being dense, but is this new? Maybe it’s always said that and I just never noticed it…? What info do they want to share, and with whom?

Seems like you can’t do much of anything online now without agreeing to let the website owner collect info about you.

But if so, what’s an alternative very good quality washer? (Our 6-yr-old LG top-loader is junk, so no LGs for me.).

I’m much more concerned with function and performance than longggevity. I want: ability to control water level and cycles; a gentle cycle that is actually gentle; long cycles for very dirty clothes; truly effective wash and rinse cycles, etc. (Fussy technological features are not a necessity btw.)

Our home is absolutely the dustiest place I’ve ever lived. We had it built ~6 years ago, and didn’t realize at first what a cheap-a@@ job our builder did. We trusted him and his guidance. Huge mistake.

So, one thing I’m wondering is if our crappy “builder grade” single-hung windows might be responsible for our big dust problem.

Does that seem likely to you?
