Trying to research my Great Grandfather who served in the Newfoundland RAF in WW2 but hit a wall and could use some help.

I currently only have a photocopy of his discharge papers from a family member and my dad has his war medal (defence medal and Newfoundland volunteer service medal are both in the family somewhere). The issue with him being a Newfoundlander who joined the RAF with the RAFVR in 1944 before Newfoundland was a part of Canada. He was a “Maintenance Assistant” or bomber mechanic as he always said, was ranked as “Leading Aircraftsman” and his service number was NFD.798821
I first enquired to the Canadian archives, who then referred me to the Newfoundland “rooms” archive, they didn’t have anything and told me to apply to the UK records.

I applied to the UK records months ago with a copy of his death certificate (died in 2006) but apparently the UK archives are having a massive digitalization of records and therefore the backlog is ginormous. I sent a follow up email last month that went unreplied. I’m wondering if theres any other avenue I can explore to try and get them? I know he was posted to RAF Oulton through letters he sent his mom that we have, he served from 1944-1946.

New owner, should I raise his light higher? The bulbs are about 4 and a half inches above the bottom of the light fixture and from the platform to the bottom of the fixture is 5 and a half inches. He sometimes basks with an artificial lily pad on his back.

If you had 200k CAD you absolutely had to spend on Canadian banknotes and coins, how would you split it up? (See caption)

I have a golden ticket/opportunity and i’m scared to mess it up.

Been collecting since I was 8, am now 24 and am about to win a large disability settlement and decided I want to take a good part of it and make dealing coins/banknotes my career, if you had 200k cad that you had to spend on Canadian coins and banknotes and nothing else, how would you divide it up?

I want to turn my passion into my life, being able to expand my collection, have a part of my retirement plan (keep some stuff longer as it appreciates and cheaper stuff that moves quicker) while moving a lot of stock through as an ebay store and facebook groups as opposed to having a physical storefront. Would you dive straight into silver? How would you go about finding estate sales? Bank of canada 1935 series? Devils face notes? Chartered notes? Key dates and errors? Fancier serial numbers? With 200k how would you split it up?

Current career is probably coming to an end in the next couple years due to medical reasons hence the payout but figured this would be a good alternative that isn’t too taxing on me and that I can do from pretty much anywhere in the country which gives me liberty to move around the country.

I would obviously invest in equipment like scopes, updated charlton catalogs, keep charts of the price of things when to buy knowing what I can profit on etc.

Gf’s 2020 Chevy Spark randomly makes this noise every now and then while driving but I can’t diagnose it. Any ideas?

The tire pressure sensor is broken hence the light but tire pressure is fine
