Parking garage for State Farm Arena

Parking garage for State Farm Arena

I’m heading to a concert tonight at State Farm and was curious about parking. This particular garage says parking isn’t available until 6pm, but doors for the show open at 6:30.

Has anyone booked here before and knows if they’ll let people in early? The garage is completely booked so that is going to be a TON of people blocking the road waiting turn into here. If that’s the case then I’ll just wait it out, but if I can get in early that would be nice.

Working entire days

Usually on Sundays I am opening and closing pet care… so working the entire day. I get bored so fast as everything is typically done during the week and Sunday is… Sunday. Any advice on how to push through 😭

Help with pet sales denial

Had a family come in wanting a bearded dragon. They had a cricket carrier in their hands and said they would put it in there. Obviously said no, and the mom got really irate with me. I showed them the proper enclosures and said if they decided to get one to lmk.

For the next 30 minutes they basically dragged me around, telling me how they know more than me, they’ve had them for years, etc.

Ultimately they got the enclosure I showed them. I’ve already spoken to managers and reprinted their contract/receipt in case they try to return the enclosure alone.

Is there anything else I can do to make sure nothing happens? I close tomorrow and work the entire day Sunday just in case—

Financing denied after I already got the car?

Financed a car almost two weeks ago and ended up trading it in for another one 6 days later. Today I got an email from American Credit Acceptance saying they couldn’t approve my loan.

I haven’t heard anything from CarMax directly so I’m assuming they just sent my application to different companies and I’m just now hearing back from one? I was approved in store so just kinda confused 😵‍💫

Buyer opened dispute but wants to keep item?

I had a buyer report the sweater I sold them as “not as described”. I messaged her about the dispute (she never said anything to me about it beforehand) and told her she could send it back for a full refund. She then messaged back minutes later and said she would probably just “fix and keep it”

It’s been 10 days since it was purchased, so I’m a little annoyed that I’m having to wait possibly 2 weeks or more to get paid. Is there anything I can do on my end to speed up things?

Dealing with burn out

I think I am unfairly getting mad at mostly innocent customers. I know a lot of them aren’t very competent, but still. I wasn’t directly rude yesterday. But I was very short and didn’t say anything to them unless they asked for help which is a big no in my store.

I think I’m starting to get burnt out working in pet care. It’s just so easy to get annoyed with the fish and small pet customers. I don’t want to feel this way. Sometimes I have great days where I’m energetic and outgoing, but lately it’s been the opposite.

I had a REALLY awful day earlier this week so maybe that’s just getting to me. I’m sitting outside in the parking lot already dreading today 🫣 any tips for not feeling like I am ready to get fired??

First issue raised! Looking for advice.

I sold a merch item last week to a collector and it arrived today. I got a message saying the buyer raised an issue. When I opened the message all she said was “it’s snagged in the front”.

I washed it before packaging but didn’t see anything related to a snag at all. I replied to the Depop alert saying she could return it for a full refund.

Is there anything else I need to do? I sent her a message asking for more details and that her option was to return it. She already got it for way less than my asking price bc I really needed the money ($100 less). I’m hoping she just won’t end up keeping it and I lose my money? This is my first issue ever so very concerned.

That didn’t last long!

Bought this car 6 days ago and loved it. Used remote start this morning and it cut off after about 10 seconds. Started the car and the check engine light is on.

Today is the last day I can get my trade in back. It was fun while it lasted 😭

New car has check engine light. Today is day 6 of money back guarantee.

I bought a car for the first time 6 days ago and this morning the remote start cut off after about 10 seconds. Got into the car and the check engine light is on. It’s a Jeep so I’m not planning to deal with this long term.

If I drive down there after work, will they take the car back and let me use my previous car (down payment/trade in) towards a different car? I’d rather just do that instead of it being in a shop so I have something to drive.

TIA!

Shipping hasn’t updated (as a seller)

I haven’t sold in probably a year so maybe there’s something I’m missing. I sold 4 items and I keep getting emails saying the orders will be canceled if I don’t ship soon. The problem is I shipped all of them 3 days ago and they have all been scanned into the USPS facilities. Is there anything else I need to do??

What is truly high mileage for these cars?

I’ve wanted a Renegade since they released at the age of 10 😂 now at 21 I made my first big purchase and got a 2015 Latitude with 124k miles. I thought this was great considering my previous cars had 356k and 215k. Now everyone is saying I made a huge mistake and my car is basically on its way out…

My dad is a mechanic and I plan to do consistent maintenance as I did with my other cars. Did I really make a mistake or is it just a general hate for the Renegade?🫣

2025 EMPTY Crybaby Perfume Canister

Would be a cool collector’s item even without the actual perfume 💗✨

This is from the 2025 release! Confetti is still inside. I would also be happy to spray some perfume in it as well if you are wanting to smell.

Asking $150. I only use PayPal G&S or I can make you a private listing on my Depop! I ship usually next day depending on when the purchase is made.

✨✨ Once again NO perfume bottle is included.

Can I make my own work shirts?

I’m not a fan of the shirts available through PlayUp and the ones they send us occasionally. They stain so easily from working in pet care, so I just made myself a very simple black shirt with the PetSmart logo. I’m not worried about wearing this one as it looks official.

I was just curious if it would be possible for me to do fun colored shirts as long as it clearly has the PetSmart logo on it? This may be store dependent, but maybe there is an official policy on it or something.

Headlights question!

Recently bought a used 2015 Renegade Latitude. This is the newest car I’ve ever had (previous cars were 03 + 10) so maybe it’s just something I’m not adjusted to.

I’ve noticed at night my headlights will dim when I come to a stop, but then when I release the brake they get brighter. Is this normal??

First time trading in tomorrow

Hello :) I currently drive an older Honda civic and found a car I really like through Carmax. They only offered $700 for my car but I guess that’s alright considering the condition it’s in. The payments are a little high but affordable considering I’m 20 and have little credit. I was already approved and am planning to go by myself tomorrow to do the trade in.

What all should I expect? I’m literally clueless. I have my title, 2 keys, and proof of insurance. It looks like I shouldn’t have to pay anything up front tomorrow but would love to know if that’s not true.

Thank you!

Who can I report sick fish shipments to?

For the past couple months all of our feeder fish have been developing fungal infections and dying in groups within a couple days. We usually reserve them and just wait for them to die out before getting a new shipment in, but the cycle repeats.

I’m so sick of pulling out 40+ dead feeders every morning. Not only that, but our most recent fish truck came with a ton of ick. We still have to sell them because 90% of customers don’t care about it and still want them. I probably pulled at least 3-4 fish out of every single tank this morning. We have a huge black moor who literally doesn’t have eyes anymore because they are so swollen and infected. I’ve talked to management and my other pet specialist, but they all insist there’s nothing we can do other than doing our normal ick/melafix treatment. Any advice would be great 😃

Yearly raise

Do you still get a yearly raise if you were recently promoted? I’m a pet specialist and that came with a $2 raise a couple months ago. My one year was a few days ago, but I had my review in the beginning of May… just wondering if I should still see an increase 👀

Got a phone call from a local customer asking if we had any Guinea pigs. He then asked if they were “pretty fat” 😭 he seemed normal otherwise and said he’d be here later, but obviously that question is a little concerning… am I overreacting or should I tell my closer to be extra cautious when selling today??
