Suggest an MMORPG to me

Played WoW classic, couldn’t get in to FFXIV, GW2 the progression feels meaningless, OSRS combat is terrible imo, BDO was something I enjoyed recently but the PvP scene is dead. Is there anything left for me to try. I primarily prefer PvP, but do like the slow grind of levelling, or grind in general, and some group PvE. I also tried dark age of Camelot but turned it off after 2 mins as it looked terrible.

Cracked plaster/paint peeling off

Noticed a circular crack in the ceiling which eventually came apart and fell off. Can I just use a ready to use filler to patch it up and paint over? Not done this before so any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Ally z1e 25 TDP getting very hot

I’ve been playing GoW E day on my ally z1e at 25tdp on SteamOS. After about 15-20min it gets really hot from the screen, almost uncomfortable to touch. Does anyone else get this? I did do the 74wh battery mod but I’ve added an aluminium plate, I wonder if this is contributing to it?

Leak caused by flush mechanism not working correctly

We had a leak in our utility room ceiling which has the en-suite toilet above it. I noticed that there was water leaking this morning and when I went upstairs to check, it seemed like the toilet still had water flowing as if it was still flushing to a lesser extent. I then pressed the flush button again and then it stopped, as did the leak down below. I didn’t notice any water around the toilet base or anything, but I believe this was likely the cause as the leak stopped shortly after.

I spoke to the plumber who said it is most likely nothing to worry about, as if it was a leak in the pipes then the water would continuously leak. Doesn’t really give me any comfort but just wanted to see what your guys thoughts are? Is this normal, will a leak happen if your toilet keeps on running?

What’s the best Rog ally z1e battery mod method?

Hearing mixed feedback on this. Some jsaux and others the 74wh battery with aluminium plate, custom backplate and other things that I’m not very confident I’d be able to do lol. I’m leaning towards the 74wh due to cost but not sure with method to do - cut the existing backplate or buy one that will naturally fit the new battery. Where would I source this also?

Low TDP gaming

I’m looking to switch from my steam deck lcd to a rog ally z1 (not the x). I was wondering how it performs at relatively low TDP, 10w and under. I usually run my SD at 7-10w so I can squeeze some extra life out of it. Is this possible with the rog ally? I’m also thinking of the JSAUX battery mod. The main aim is to be able to play a mixture of less demanding games like warframe and AAA games.

Is it worth upgrading my steam deck lcd

I have a steam deck lcd 64gb currently (free gift lol). I’ve owned a few handhelds before including rog ally and legion go OG. I ended up selling them as they eventually got barely any use. I now casually use the steam deck a little more as I have time now and was considering upgrading it to a 512gb or 1tb ssd, the cost of them is putting me off though
I’m also considering another device and ideally it would have been a steam deck oled but not sure because of the price now. I game at home 95% of the time so I can probably make do with streaming to the device also for demanding games . I’m also thinking of getting a used rog ally and upgrading the battery.
Just wondering what your guys thoughts are? I don’t really want to fork out more than £100 so anything within budget of the price of a used deck lcd 64gb with 100 on top.

Has anyone else parked playing the game until it’s optimised?

Played it for the first 2-3 weeks but decided to stop playing until it’s more optimised. While I enjoyed it, I would prefer to play it in a more polished form. Before I get the “it runs fine for me” and “what did you expect, early access bruh”, hear me out… If you settle for a worse experience, nothing is going to change.

The game has been well put together, it’s an enjoyable game. But let’s not sugarcoat it, performance wise it is sub par. Pushing out new content in the current form is a waste of resources.

So if any of the devs are seeing this then, I hope you can push up optimisation further up your priority list.

Please optimise the game

Love the game, bought it on release. Runs fine(not great) on my PC but on my steam deck the game is too poorly optimised to run well. For a game with simple graphics it really shouldn’t struggle this much. Devs please fix this, or I’m afraid the game will die a slow (or quick) painful death!

Is PvP dead in this game?

Been playing casually over the past couple months and finally started to grasp the combat rotations etc so I decided to start arena of solare. I find it a struggle to find a (practice) game at times, waiting like 20-30 before finding a match. Was kind of just looking to play something where I can just drop in and play, but seems like a struggle currently. It’s a shame because the combat is really fun, I can find games a lot quicker in gw2 but not a huge fan of the combat in that.

Is there any challenging PvE content?

About 30h in to the game and I’ve yet to come across any sort of content that is challenging. Even the bosses in the story were too easy. Coming from other MMORPGs like WoW, Gw2 and NW - those games had some content that was at least remotely challenging. BDO has been mainly killing everything in one shot, which is a shame because the combat is so good. Is there any kind of content that might be of interest to me?

Infinite potion grind

Is the grind worth it or should I just buy it instead. Got enough from doing guild bosses (about 15bil). I’m about 760ap atm and someone advised not to purchase it unless I’m making 2b/h grinding. Personally I don’t want to spend 50+ hours grinding for the infinite potion if I can just buy it but I’m not sure if this is the right move.

Struggling with pushing up line too high

I attempted a low fade yesterday on myself and ended up pushing the line too high. Here’s what I did in order. 0 and 0.5 first guideline, 1.5 open 2nd guideline, 2 open. To fade the 2nd guideline I went in with a .5 3/4 open initially and then 1 3/4 open. I found every time I went in with the 1, it kept pushing the dark line higher and higher to the point where it’s no longer a low fade. I may change my approach next time and create a 1 open guideline instead of 1.5 open. I just followed a tutorial on YouTube.

Fazlifts upper/lower (barbarian) volume low?

Seems a good program but 4 sets total for chest a week is quite Low isn’t it? Seeing as though back total volume is 8 sets. Is 4 sets enough to see good growth?

The combat is nice but isn’t PvP just about who lands CC first?

I’ve done some AoS casually as a new-ish player and I don’t really understand the appeal of PvP, yet. It feels like there isn’t really any counter play, and the dozens of classes makes it even harder as it would take years to figure out other classes. Do I just need to spend more time playing?

Farever has forever changed my perspective on MMOs

Before people jump up and say it’s not a true an MMO, my response to that is, I don’t really care anymore. Before, I would yearn for an MMO that has high player population and lots of people running around in the open world. After playing this, I’ve realised those things aren’t really that important to me.

You still see people here and there and it isn’t really difficult to group up. In most modern MMOs, the social aspect isn’t great anyway. People will just run by you and barely interact other than in the chat box in world/zone channels.

The solo experience, as well as the option for group play, is something I overlooked. This game does it perfectly. The fact that I can do dungeons solo is amazing, I don’t really like committing to something like a dungeon in a party when life can just pull me away at any moment, as I’m a dad gamer. It also means I don’t have to deal with sweaty try hards who want to gate-keep and say ‘bRo uR sTaTs aRe tRaSh’.

I’m rooting for the developers and hope these server issues get ironed out quickly. I’ve enjoyed the game a lot so far, it seems they’ve picked out the best game mechanics from different games and molded it in to one. Great work guys.

Is it really only 20 players per map?

Was looking to pick up the game but was told it’s limited to 20 players per map. Is this just a temporary measure to lower the server load? Also, is there any main cities etc?
