Some of the accounts of travelers and histories of Saudi Arabia highlight the survival of pre-Islamic practices such as solar worship, tree veneration, and a surprising outright skepticism of certain Islamic practices.
Thought posting this would be interesting, as Ahmad al-Jallad in one of his recent interviews described how certain Bedouins he encountered recollected possibly pre-Islamic customs.
