My neighbor, Edward Leaf Blower Hands

My neighbor, Edward Leaf Blower Hands

I didnt want to take an actual photo of a neighbor to post here, so here my doodle of 'Edward Leaf Blower Hands'

There's a man who lives in the corner house across the street from me. Pretty much every day, he puts on a tank top, basketball shorts, wrap around sunglasses, and construction worker headphones, and he carries a leaf blower in each hand. It doesnt matter what season it is, or if there arent any leaves, he walks around his property and the surrounding homes, for hours...hours. He never speaks to anyone, but he looks annoyed at having to do this... one time I saw him walk after/ blow the same, singular dried leaf from one end of the street to the other, just back and forth, for over an hour.

Sometimes I think about gluing a fake leaf into the middle of the road during rush hour, just to be able to sleep in late again on the weekends.

Does anyone want to do a high holiday card exchange ?

Rosh Hashanah is one of my all time favorite holidays, so I made more cards than I needed this year.

Anyway, I just think it would be cool to keep the Rosh Hashanah post card tradition going by seeing if anyone here wanted to exchange cards. Ive also got leftover Tu B'Av cards, general matzah ball soup cards, Barry Sister cards that dont specifically say a holiday, and Sukkot cards.

My latest rock buddies/ tiny public art statues I display in my neighborhood park. A "rocker fella" dude I based on the Mr. Monopoly guy, a tiny chef and an artist

I made the top hat using an old pill bottle cap and an empty cork thread spool, stacked ontop of eachother and put into the toe of an old stocking sock. The monocle is made entirely from florist wire, the cane is a stick wrapped in florist wire, the hair is cotton balls.

The tiny Chef hat I made with two bottle caps and three rubber bands wrapped around an old dish rag. His spatula is wire and the pan is another bottle cap wrapped in wire.

The artist beret is the toe off an old sock, the pallet is cardboard, the paintbrush is a toothpick with yarn attached to the end. The easel is just a mini display board I got at the dollar tree. The painting itself is something I made on a postcard just to test out a new rosin seal, so it's already weathered proof so I glued it onto the easel. To keep the painting from blowing away in the wind, I tied three corn cob holders onto the easel legs with rubber bands and staked it into the ground. Its been a couple weeks and it hasn't been blown away.

I showed my dad the post from yesterday and all the nice things people said and advice for his Mop Man shirt. He sent me this colorized verision.

Think he took some of the advice and focused the image on Mop Man.

I included the Barry Sisters on my holiday greeting cards this year because they sing my favorite cover of Hava Nagila.

Im making a painted postcard design for all the fall-winter holidays+bowls of matzah ball soup ( good for any occasion)

The trees in the top left are for Tu B'Av. The leaves are meant to be hearts.

Etrogs on decorative platters

Ive been adding cold-pressed rosin on the cards when theyre done, so they can actually be used as postcards/ sent in the mail without fear of the paint smearing or anything. It makes them weatherproof as well.

Not sure what i will do with all of them, but it sort of makes me happy just to make them.

[Self] Been making these dudes and leaving them in the neighborhood park by me.

Been doing this for a couple months now. Yesterday someone asked me what they mean/ why im doing it, and I said "its just something I do" and then I was told if someone trips and falls and dies on one, I'll be held liable.

It's super early, but this is my greeting card design im planning on using for the high holidays this year.

Im going to make different ones, but yeah.

This is my main high holidays greeting design for this year.

I wanted to do cards that featured honey bears, because it's a shape that I can draw repeatedly and quickly. So, on the cards Im going to add smoke coming out of the shofar to spell "Shana Tova", sorta like the Caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland. It's basically my way of leaning as far as I can into the "high" part of "high holidays" without actually saying it directly. .
