These are leaks so obviously might change but the one providing them has 100% track record apparently so do with this what you may.

Mitya has some sort of direct and reaction damage altering gimmick to him as per one of the leaks.
They also said Valeriy is a substitute for tsaritsa in a mitya team.

From this, my theory is that Mitya might be able to enable ssc without needing a cryo aura or his direct ssc damage becomes reaction damage as long as on field character is cryo or electro. I’m saying this because Valeriy can’t substitute a cryo dps (as per leaks) while being an electro unit in an ssc unless we use him in a wheelchair with mitya-odette.

Also they’ve been saying he has a shield, 20% buff and 120 EM at c6… could that mean he doesn’t have a shield at c0? 20% buff and 120 EM seem next to nothing for a c6 character. I think that’s the case because if he is the on field character it makes sense to make him tankier at c6 by giving him a shield.

The reason I’m assuming that Mitya has such ability is because it would make no sense to have a dps with on field abilities at low investment and use him as an off field and creating a dedicated 4 star for said off field abilities just to replace him in a patch. Honestly atp I wouldn’t be surprised if hoyo did that but this feels so wasteful even for a 4 star. I mean it would have been a different story if mitya can’t be on field but unless his off field damage when paired with valeriy is higher, it makes no sense to use him off-field but they themselves said it’s not that good.

I don’t want to pull for her sig and I have around 3 sword billets. To craft Fontaine or snez craftable I’ll need to convert them into the respective type using solvents (I’ve got 10 of those but I really wanna save them for future characters)

So I wanted to know if simply using the traveler sig is fine and if so, how much dps loss am I looking at? I know it’s supposedly 1% better than r5 finale but what about snez sword?

And I can’t get either to r5 so maybe in comparison to r3?

I personally like him and have no ill feelings but clearly the player base hates valeriy mains and labels them as toxic in a blind manner, so I just wanna know if they actually have a basis for such claims.

This is only if you like or hate Mitya in relation to what happened to Valeriy and NOT because of any other reason as people might have multiple reasons to not like some characters.

EDIT: This is only to show to the mitya mains lurking here trying to find evidence that all we do is hate on him and not to stir more fights. Also hoyo is definitely the villain of the whole story, completely agree with you all.

I’ve just reached the part where he “>!dies!<” and I just wanted to share some opinions I’ve had. They delivered exactly what they were going for with his personality but is it weird that I wanted him to be something more? Like yeah he’s a soldier and very level headed and got leadership skills you’d expect from a major but the rest of his personality feels really 2-dimensional. Can we expect him to be fleshed out later or is this it?

Also I noticed his arms still feel really unpolished. Like the metal arm looks like just lines were drawn on it to make it seem mechanical and the bear head is really popping out too much and breaking the design flow.

I just wanted to know if I’m reading too much into it cuz I’ve hyped him up so much in my head and also had to deal with a lot of disappointing leaks or it really is kinda underwhelming.

This is just my opinion, I can still completely see his appeal but I’m kinda disappointed with the execution hoyo went with him… only thing that can save him is a stellar kit but the leaks suggesting mitya can be off-field, on-field, has exploration abilities and seeing his story relevance… I really don’t see them giving more thought to Valeriy unless they are gonna make Mitya’s kit heavily reliant on valeriy (which would enrage a lot of mitya fans and also it’s just bad kit design).

It’s all but confirmed his rarity is 4 star so let’s just walk past that and think about his role.

I know a lot of people want him to be a shielder but imma be honest with you all. There are multiple leaks suggesting Danica would be that. And if that is the case, she would be the yae replacement, the Alyosha replacement AND the Valeriy replacement. So I know I’d be downvoted to the abyss for this but I’m gonna put it out there, if he’s a shielder, he’s gonna be replaced in a patch. I know a lot of sandrone and wrio mains want a shielder but that’s what Danica is for.

All things considered I hope he’s at least important enough to not be replaced by a 5 star that quickly. Take prune for example, she’s a 4 star but she’s still relevant to her niche team at the end of the day and if valeriy is fated to be tied to Mitya’s team I at least hope he has a permanent slot like Illuga or prune.

Many might say he has a shield therefore his role will be that of a shielder, to them I ask: when was there a shielder with a literal shield last time? So please don’t draw your conclusions with that. He literally used the shield to bash something not protect us.

I personally want him to be an on field character though obviously there’s no information on that and it also seems less likely but that’s MY hope for him because I like him and I want to PLAY as him and not use him as an EQ bot like most 4 stars.

For whatever reason it may be, Valeriy has a lot more popularity than most other snez characters. Like this sub has more visitors than rest of the snez cast (I agree not strong enough proof) but he’s also got second highest likes on the announcement post after tsaritsa.

I know they can’t change the kit of a character but any chance that hoyo devs really underestimated his popularity while they were building the character?

Im just saying this cuz most of the community is very sure about his rarity.

Hi odette mains,

I want to build mitya-Valeriy premium and my gut feeling is that they’ll have Odette and tsaritsa as the remaining slots but no guarantee. I do like her design too but since tsaritsa might have off-field abilities too (like most archons), I’m not sure if they would overlap.

Should I pull for her? I don’t wanna skip her if she’s part of the premium but I know we can’t be sure yet… I just can’t see any other character being in the 4th slot for Mitya-Valeriy premium. Can someone help me decide?
