Hi, I have a question on how to waterproof part of the eye base. I’ve already looked up how to waterproof the eye mesh that goes within the peephole, but I want to waterproof the entire eye blank. My sona does not have white on my eyes and I plan on painting everything the color I want it to be. Other than the mesh, what paint would I use that would stick on and not flake off or blend together if it gets wet? I’m debating if I should use my white EVA base or print the base out in white. If I were to print the base out instead, what else would work for coloring and waterproofing? Thanks!

Hi, I’ve never printed or used blender before, but I’m trying to figure out what filament for 3D printing would be best for this head. Second vers will be IRL foam carving and see what I like more, but with the printing, I’m not sure what would be the best go to.

I feed Maribelle (~70g) a 12g fuzzy / hopper on the 3rd after 2 weeks of buildup (she recently escaped and I didn’t want to stuff her as soon as I found her, so I slowly increased size in food). She is in a TEMPORARY enclosure until I can put together her usual one again. I was supposed to put her in the usual enclosure tomorrow but now I’m unsure if I should bother her. If it is regurgitation, should I just put her in the enclosure to complete her husbandry needs or wait a couple of weeks THEN put her in the enclosure? Please let me know if this is regurg or just poop. Spoilered because it’s ucky.

Her little adventure is over. She will soon be in an even more secure enclosure I will make sure she can never get out from. I hope you had your, 16 days worth of fun in an empty house while I was on vacation, maribelle! I’m so glad you’re back, even if you don’t feel the same way.
Any advice I should take upon?

I’ve shown Steve around here since I got him and he’s finally starting to depart. He refuses to eat naturally, so I’ve fed him sugar water as a supplement and a treat before he does eventually pass. He reached his last molt 2 months ago, he’s about 8 or 9 months old. I gave him the best life I could possibly give a mantis, thank you so much for the experience, old man. I love you, Steve

I really like the clam. The concept is interesting and I like how it works like a Venus flytrap. But having the eyes LOOK AT ME is creepy as hell and I love it

I’ve tried attacking, they’re un killable. I’ve tried luring, it only works for a second before they B-Line towards my base. I either build where the biome they spawn in or get camped by 5+ marrowbenches or whatever they’re called. I’m tired of having to deal with constant banging and shaking on my screen

Steve has reached his last instar in mid April! I’ve had him since his second before Christmas and wow I cannot believe how big he’s grown. I’m very proud of him. I recently moved him into a personally made 8x8x12 and he seems to be enjoying it. The plants included are cotton candy fern and two variants of baby tears. I can’t believe he was just 1cm big to 3 whole inches!

Umber seems to love her enclosure so far. She laid 1 infertile egg sack which I had to remove carefully. After about a week she willingly took food (:
I will note, in case anyone else has questions on how I removed the egg sack

1. Relocate spider into temporary cup
2. Slowly and surgically remove egg sack with scissors and tweezers, be as gentle as you possibly can
3. Neaten up the hammock like how it was before
4. Allow spider to re enter the enclosure and GIVE HER TIME AND SPACE!!!
   In total I counted ~130 infertile eggs!
   The ivy and spider plant seem to be doing great as well. Lots of microfauna like springtails

Got my first jumper at an expo, she is a female regal, not sure how old. I made the background for her enclosure, it was my first DIY background too and I’m very proud of myself. I may glue more cork to the ceiling of the enclosure to add more anchor points that aren’t bare acrylic.
