Kentmere 400 in the Minolta Autocord
Some Exposures from my recent roll of Kentmere 400, very happy with how it looks!
(The cat shot was really lucky, as I fumbled quite hard to get the right exposure)

Got lost in some Details on a car meet with my 9xi, some shots were taken as test shots with the fantasy effect card.
All photos taken with either the 28-70 f2.8 G or 80-200 f2.8 APO
Got the deal at 55€, completely working and in good condition.
The lens alone must be worth 50€.
Some highlights of the last months, recorded with my Minolta DiMAGE V on an original Minolta 4MB 5V Smartmedia Card, that holds about 33 images in "Fine" Resolution.
A camera out of the very first wave of compact, portable consumer digital cameras, priced almost as high as the most expensive professional Minolta SLRs at the time.
I just love the look of the pictures.
All unedited, straight out of camera.
Shot on Kentmere Pan 400.
Love this camera, it's very smooth! Shot more rolls on my Minoltas that are currently awaiting development and scanning!
Greetings from Germany!
Took my Minolta AF 80-200/2.8 APO Tele and Minolta AF 28-70/2.8 G to a local car meet on top of an old renaturalized spoil heap.
The sun was just about to fade and the very light clouds made for beautiful lighting in my opinion!
The pictures were taken on my Sony Alpha 99ii and are unedited jpegs, straight out of the camera.
Some of them were taken with an original Minolta 72mm Circular Pol Filter, some just with my B+W MRC Nano Clear Filter to protect the lenses.
Those two lenses plus the Minolta AF 100/2.8 Macro are my favorite Minolta AF lenses ever. They are so sharp and give the 42 Megapixel A99ii all the information it needs!
Greetings from Germany!
It’s merely "ufftata ufftata tralalala pralala" music for projecting your largely over- or underexposed slide presentations onto your nicotine-yellowed wall, but at least it says Minolta on it!

As far as my research goes, there are about 3 or 4 different records like this in the German speaking region.

I think it fits well next to my Minolta Autocord Optiper MXS.
Won the auction on this lot of old Minolta bags and stickers. Love it! Will look great once I have a good showcase cabinet.
This Minolta X-700 is already made in China, my only 700 that is.
Serial Number: 3108727
It works perfectly and came with a MD-1 and 50mm f1.7, the latest and smallest version I have
(The pics show it with a 45 f2, as I have that lens twice and the camera was photographed to be sold with that lens)
Would love to know what your latest X700 is/was and what was the latest you've ever seen/had.
Let's get some serial numbers in this comment section!
This is an accident recording kit from the early to mid 1980s, with the film expiring in 1986.
Have you ever seen something like this or used it?
Has anyone ever shot 3M 110 film?
Every professional photographer envies a setup like this with every fiber of his body.
It's perfection. It's state of the art. It's a head turner.
Have you ever used something like this?
Bought this very cheap but complete set and wanted to share it here!
Have you seen or used something like this? Are you familiar with the "brand" of camera?
All are working, came with fresh batteries and clean camera bags, were always stored in a cabinet.
Just paid 125€ for it all.
One of my best steals of all time!
As a Minolta guy, I am still in heaven.
I've never seen so many Programm and Function cards in one picture before. I think that's a "once in a lifetime moment".
I just had to share it!
First I just asked for a Multi Spot, Multi Exposure, Fantasy II, Bracket 2 and Custom XI Card.
It was listed for 100€, the description said that each card costs 5€, but all together for 100€.
We decided on 60€ including shipping... For around 75 Cards altogether.
I think I made a good deal.
My 9xi was due for its first outing and I thought I'd keep it nice and professional.
Had the 28-70 f2.8 G, the 80-200 f2.8 HS APO Tele-Zoom and the 100mm f2.8 Macro with me
I chose Agfa APX 100 as my filmstock and had three Programm Cards with me, the Fantasy Card, the Multispot Metering and Multiple Exposure Card.
Even screwed on my best B+W Master Clear MRC nano Filter on both the 28-70 and the 100mm!
I loved it. Very nice piece of technology!
It was about a 25 minute drive, the seller had no clue if some of it worked or what it was. His uncle left it all to him and he had to clear everything out.
I tested it all throughout, it all works, even the flashes. Lenses are clean, cameras are immaculate.
All with somewhat new batteries inserted, ready to go. Seems like the original owner used it till the end. Even the Winders and Flashes had batteries installed.
Even tested the XE and XG against an external light meter, the cameras meter very accurately.
It all came with four camera bags, the 9xi with a Multispot, Depth and H/S Card in an original Card case. That Rollei Flash even has swappable Strobes and a very early form of LED Display. Seriously modern in the day.
He was happy to see it go as I gave him 125€.
With an empty wallet and shaking with excitement, I packed it all into my car and brought it home.
Today I tried something I've read on several pages, didn't find good pictures on it though, so I made some.
I love black Minoltas, but many in my price range are a bit used and the lettering tends to yellow a bit or get stained. Whilst it can be brought back to life with cleaning, scrubbing and agitating a lot, one can also overdo it quickly with too much fluid or too hard scrubbing.
So I got myself a PaintStick and tried it on my ratty XD-7.
I cleaned it with a tooth brush and dried it thoroughly, then I just scrubbed it into the lettering.
I waited a while and pressed it down a bit.
Then I used a flat spatula that I wrapped a lens Cleaning cloth around to wipe off the excess.
Do not use a deep fiber cloth because it would take too much of it off!
It's not perfect on mine because I just wanted to test it first. One can surely do a better job!
I'm leaving it to harden now, I'll try the lettering on the ASA and Shutter speed dial tomorrow!
I'll capture that process too and add it here!
It works, it's perfect! Local flea market find, and big plus that it uses the batteries from my A99ii.
The 3MP pictures are really really beautiful from what I'm seeing. Can't wait to finalize my first disc!
By the way:
Someone somewhere told the trick to make it initialize CDs and it worked for me:
Hold the camera with the screen facing up and just as it starts initializing the disk, abruptly rotate it counter clockwise, then hold still.
Without that trick, mine wouldn't initiate the CD. With the trick, no problem!
Would love to hear any further thoughts and experiences with those cameras!
Greetings from Germany!
Has anyone had the chance or need to take apart the mentioned and pictured lens?
I got one from eBay with oily and sticky aperture but got a full refund from the seller, so I would like to clean it up now.
Would be awesome if someone had a resource or hands on experience with this rather uncommon lens or knows what lens it's based upon where I can then look up on how to get to the Aperture.
Thanks for reading and any information!
