Ist das eine seltene Form?

Irgendwie scheinen hier zwei Zwetschgen miteinander verwachsen zu sein.

Hab ich noch nie gesehen, ist das eventuell was besonderes?

Just got this Limited Edition, don't know why or how. [Read]

So, I decided to bid on a Boxed and complete Minolta AF 100-200 f4.5, as I wanted to compare it to my trusty 70-210 f4 Beercan. Got the deal at 9,50€ plus shipping. Steal on its own to be frank.

The one singular collage showed the lens and the packaging. Nothing more. The description also never mentioned anything like a camera...

So as I picked up the box I wondered why it was so heavy. I was hoping the 100-200 would be much lighter than the beercan, I thought to myself.

Opening the box revealed a 7000 box with a shiny (OH SHINY) Sticker. I heard and seen about these 7000 limited edition models, I know they aren't worth that much... But there it is! With all its gold lettering and in working condition it even had a quantaray (don't ask me) 24mm f2.8 attached to it.

I have not cleaned anything yet, as I wanted to capture the state it has arrived in.

It seems like I can't escape receiving more and more Minoltas... They even show up when I don't actually buy them knowingly...

That's my crazy bit of luck this week. Can't believe it.

Voigtländer Vitomatic II + Proximeter II. Late 50s Set-up.

Got it yesterday. Put an old film in it to see if the shutter winds up. Works like a dream!

And you can focus really close with the Proximeter. Such a cool add-on! Can't wait to pack a Film into it!

Just got this Vitomatic. Love it!

It's a gift from a friend of mine. Love the way it feels!

Has anyone used the Proximeter addon before and has some results to share? Would love to see it!

Greetings from Germany!

Waiting for a bee...

What's the longest time you've been waiting for a "shot" on location?

Would love to know your struggles and patience level!

Black Hole. One of my favorite lenses!

Got the MD III Macro 50mm f3.5 early this year from a retired photographer in a big Minolta Lot. I've really grown to like it, as it is light and very versatile and tack sharp.

Got my XD loaded with Kodak Tri-X and am eager to see the results. First test for this camera, seems to underexpose a bit on its own so I correct it by +1 stops.

Hope you like what you see and have a wonderful weekend! Stay hydrated!

Today's the day Grandpa's first Camera gets used again!

Today, we’re taking photos with Grandpa’s first camera. He got it from his father, who brought it back from a health retreat for miners. Grandpa’s father went to that retreat five times in total for "breathing difficulties"—aka black lung—and then had to fight near the end of World War II, when even the sick were being conscripted; he did return, but was never the same man again.

Besides photos and memories, this camera is one of the only things still connected to my great grandfather. It's one of my most priced possessions, no matter it's material worth as a very basic camera that almost was out of date when it was produced.

Main objective/quest: take a picture of my grandfather with his own camera, at least 60 years after it has been last used by him. He is 89 years old.

Finally got an early SRT-101.

Didn't want to spend much, as I already have an SRT303 and such, so I was able to buy this with other cameras in a lot for 37€ including shipping with a 55mm f1.7.

Cleaned it, came out beautifully! The date code says it's from Mai 1967!

Minolta X7: Mirror half way up, no lights in viewfinder

Hello everyone!

This is most likely a capacitor issue as I am aware. I have once fixed this on my X300 and want to do it here too.

But the capacitor looks different, and I am not too familiar with the X7 Range and do not know if I can use the same capacitors as I've used them for the X300 repair, maybe someone can help!

The capacitor on the X300 was a cylindrical black one, this one is bulbous and blue.

I think I just "maxed out" my 7000i

I finally took the time to fit the hand strap to my 7000i after I recently acquired an example with a program back for just 20€ and thought I'd dress it up a bit to see how it looks.

I love it! So shiny!!! 😂

Didn't know Alf was cool like that?!

Seems he really had his stuff together in 1986!

With technology from outer space available, he wisely chose Minolta! Good for him!

What to look for when buying a Zenza Bronica ETR Model?

I don't want to spend more than it's worth, so what are telltale signs of good gear? Insider knowledge?

Like a ring on the lens that tells me it's one of the good ones or a different battery compartment telling me it's a later model which are better or worse?

Something like that...

I'm a Minolta Guy and know most things about this brand, but Zenza just spoke to me and I want to invest in a 6×4.5 System.

Minolta DiMAGE X with original Underwater Case l

Was looking at buying something like this for a while, but I wanted to figure out which camera I like using most before diving (HAHAHA, WHAT A PUN) deeper into one single camera.

So I've tried the X, Xt, Xg, X50, but the first one was just the best.

As my love set sails with the Minolta DiMAGE X, and the wind of love lead me to buying the Minolta Marine Case MC-DG 100, it finally arrived from Japan, with all the leaflets and manuals and original box.

The feel of the buttons is hilarious, feels like a trumpet or those old plastic "underwater" games where you pump air bubbles into a little compartment to float ring onto little pins... True Y2K Kids know what I mean hopefully.

It's almost handier to use than without the case.

Why did I buy one?

Well, I love showing life in all circumstances. And one thing I almost can't capture the way I want is "life in the rain". I love capturing the grey, people being annoyed by the rain, wet concrete with dry patches as the water hasn't reached there yet and so on.

Now I can!

Hope you like it!

For the nerds: Differences between Minolta MD 135mm f2.8?

I've got two MD Tele Rokkor 135mm f2.8 lenses, one of them has the writing like this:

MD Tele Rokkor 1:2.8 135mm

Serial Number: 1215082

The other one like this:

MD Tele Rokkor 135mm f2.8

Serial Number: 1255991

I wonder what the difference is!

I've heard that there are two different formulas for the Minolta 135mm f2.8 with a different number of glass elements and groups. Is that an indication?

They both weigh exactly 517 Grams with the rear cap on.

Maybe a knowledgeable person can tell me about it!

Thanks so much in advance!

Greetings from Germany!

Re: Minolta AB-700: What am I looking at?

How does this little picture want to help me put the strap on right?

How do I remove the metal link? Do I even remove it?

So many questions... Maybe I'm just stupid.

Moments on my XD7 with Opticolor 200

I tried capturing some reduced elements, leaving the rest of the image up to the viewer.

I've shot and seen so many classic cars in my life and I want to change it up. Picking up only interesting details, reflections, compositions against fitting surroundings and so on.

I used the 24-50 F4, the 50 f1.4 and the 50-135mm f3.5 for these pictures.

It's complete and ready to go!

Finally made the Winder matching to my Minolta XD.

It's my only facelift model with the green 125 and the exposure compensation on the prism side.

The leather is from the same seller, so it's perfectly matched.

Hope you like it as much as I do!

The XD is the most beautiful "modern" Minolta ever made, I wish I had a wall of them with every single one in another color of the rainbow.

My silver XD is going to get light-blue leather, stay tuned for that!

Minolta X-700 + B&W in early Spring

Everytime I use the X700 or X500, I just get goof pictures. These models really let me be more creative.

It's quite tricky for me. I love using older and/or more complicated cameras because I love the mechanical and engineering aspect of them, but I get better results with more modern, lighter and simpler cameras.

Hope you like my pictures!

Filmstock was Kentmere Pan 200 I think.

Lenses were the 24-50 F4 and 50-135 f3.5 and 35-70 f3.5 with some color filters used in some shots.

"Affordable" yet usable pre 60s Minolta Cameras?

Hello dear Minolta Freaks,

I'd like to extend my collection and use of Minolta cameras into the past, and to the 1950s or earlier.

I already have an Autocord with the Optiper MXS Shutter and an SR-7.

Is there anything remotely affordable (functional camera + lens for under 200/150$/€ without looking for ages?

Would love to know your experiences with early Minoltas. A dream would be a good Minolta 35 with a basic 50mm lens or similar.
