About to attempt to get my 2 year old to eat

The mullet is gone! Saguaro is a normal schnauzer now

A short sporty cut with no skirt because she is on a fiber supplement that turns to a sticky glue-like substance when she eats it and she keeps getting it all over her body lol. The mullet became real troublesome with the fiber getting stuck in it.

While we’ve been trying to figure out her digestive issues she has gained a few pounds and is now over weight so I have to reduce the amount of kibble she’s getting. Based on the way she is acting you would think I haven’t fed her in days, but I only reduced it from 1/2 cup twice a day to 1/3 cup twice a day hahaha and she still gets her morning and nighttime cookie

How meetings look with my clingy schnauzer

If you work for USPS just know that Saguaro is working her hardest to keep the facility running

Saguaro says since it’s raining she doesn’t need to get out of bed

I tucked her in and gave her a kiss

I need help with making tofu. It always turns out bad

I’ve been very determined to figure out tofu and I’ve been trying for years to get it right. I’ve tried marinating, different seasoning, pan fry, oven bake, air fryer, deep fryer, EVERYTHING. Even adding cornstarch to make firm tofu crispy or having miso soup with silky tofu. It’s all gross when I make it.

I thought maybe I just don’t like tofu, but when I have it at a restaurant it’s always delicious. I need a foolproof way to cook tofu because I am a fool. Please someone help me with an easy to follow recipe 😭 I’ve tried many that I’ve seen online (including some from here) and they didn’t work. I bought a ton of extra firm tofu from Costco so that’s what I’m working with currently

Is this a dog tick? And how can you tell if they’ve fed?

My dog is on a flea and tick preventative so I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about this but this is my 3rd tick found in my bed 🥲 we only walk her in the grass that is treated for ticks but she does go to daycare once a week. I thought they treated their grass too but maybe they don’t?

Each tick has been found the day after daycare. My husband and I have not been bit surprisingly

Breakfast for 26 month old and 326 month old

I made breakfast for the 2 year old gremlin, my husband, and I. This is just my plate and my son’s plate because my husband was taking too long making his protein shake lol

We each got:
1 slice of Dave’s bread (mine was burnt to a crisp because the toaster caught on fire)
1 egg
4 slices of turkey bacon
1 whole jalapeño (baked in the oven no seasoning or oil, let it cook with the bacon)

The toddler ate all of it. And he ate the jalapeño first lol so that’s why it’s not pictured

A WIN!

3 eggs, 3 sausages, and a slice of toast

He’s still eating so I’ll report back on what he ate 🫡

Got my everything crossed hoping that he at least eats the toast. Toddlerhood is so hard I’m so tired

A gentle monster truck massage to put the schnauzer to sleep

She crawled over to him so he could do this. She loves when he slowly drives his trucks over her head lmao

Saguaro isn’t feeling too well. A morning of cuddles

I’m pretty sure she’s sick. She has a vet appointment Wednesday and they’re rechecking her liver enzymes because they were slightly elevated last time. I’m hoping she’s okay but she’s been acting strange.

Today is pouring rain so we’re just going to cuddle

Lunch today (and he ate it all!!!)

The grapes are quartered btw

Also I preboiled a bunch of carrot chunks and I reheat a couple for a minute in the microwave. He loves it and they honestly taste really good reheated

I call this “lunch of desperation”

All he ate for lunch. I offered a lot more but he instead wanted this giant tomato

Making homemade pouches. Any recipes?

My son is turning 2 on Monday and because of his 2 year molars coming in, he is anti-solid foods right now. We buy about $100 worth of pouches a week at this point because it is all he will eat. So I decided to try and make my own!!

These are carrots, apples, greek yogurt, cinnamon, brown sugar, and honey :) hopefully he likes them. They are mostly carrot. I used 2 cups of chopped carrots

Lunch for my almost 2 year old

I cooked some spinach with butter then added chicken and shredded cheese. Put on a tortilla and crisped it. All his fav foods but he is anti food right now so chances are this will go in the trash. Wish me luck
