Did someone ask to see the Queen Ruby?

Or did I take too many gummies the other night? I swore I saw one but I've been so busy and now I can't find it. Anyway I wore her yesterday and today so I figured I'd show.

Rose quartz and alexandrite toi et moi

She came last night and I'm thrilled! I had Sam switch out the white moissanite for an alexandrite. Couple notes if you're looking for a stone switch:

  1. I've been told no before. He explained on one that he didn't have the stones I wanted in stock to fit the piece. Now, I've seen lots of people mention "it has to be in gold," and I think this is where that comes in play--I bet if you're paying for gold, it's more worthwhile to go source the stone you want. But that's just my guess.
  2. I ordered during a non-sale, which I do think is important. Less busy=more time for customs.
  3. Because I wanted silver, I went looking through his stock pieces to find the exact stone to fit the ring, then I quickly photoshopped it together to show him.

I really think that helps get the "yes!" Anyway, because the quartz is pink I wanted a more purple alex, which is unlike most of my stones from Sam, my 1CT ring, bracelet and kitty necklace all skew majorly teal/almost emerald (which I adore!). The alex rose cut pendant I have from Luxi is much darker and the blue less teal and I wanted that color but with the sparkle of a pear! He did a fantastic job. At home it's deep reddish purple, and so far it's been overcast but the blue/teal flashes are there and SO hard to photograph. But while my others truly look like Zambian emeralds sometimes this one will lean more violet blue. Love love love. I'm obsessed with alex as a stone, love how there is so much variation even in lab varieties. It satisfies me as a chaos gremlin, as does the juxtaposition of the gauzy quartz with the sparkly stone. ♥️

Camphor glass pendant

I picked this up at an antique store in coastal Maine last week. The tray it was on was full of estate items, all $500 and up but it was $25. I bought it because I love it, not because I had any expectations of it, but I am being driven insane because it's not marked anywhere. I have a loupe and everything. I read that it wasn't unheard of for these to be unmarked? Anyone have one? It was definitely old, I had to clean it up. The center stone isn't a diamond, I checked, I was thinking marcasite? Quartz?

Ever get an order delivered you forgot you bought?

Good grief. 🫪 Anyway! When I lost my OMC champagne ring I wasn't sure if I'd get another. I think it's so beautiful but something felt a bit off against my skin tone. Decided to buy a less expensive ring to see how I felt, went with this basic 2CT from LuxiMagic in silver. I think I cracked the code (for my skin). The silver metal with the yellow stone is just right! And it looks good stacked with both metals, imo. Think I paid $17 for it after discounts.

Been waiting on this petite beauty!

The .5CT lab sapphire/diamond. (Edit to add: the GP on this one is much more like what I'm used to, the light buttery yellow)

I've been dying to stack her with these dainty little fantasy rings I have, one is a magic wand and one is a key lock, each with a small blue sapphire. I cannot believe how sparkly it is! And since I normally stack like crazy I assumed I'd *have* to stack this one too but frankly I can see myself wearing this alone all the time. I wish gold wasn't so expensive!

Stuck in "out for delivery."

Kinda freaking out, early yesterday morning it was out and still not here (I get deliveries from GOFO and other couriers 7 days a week). I've had lots of packages get held up but when it happens while they're out for delivery I lose it. Like, is it sitting in a car somewhere!?

Late delivery came! Samstin .84CT lab grown diamond band and sapphire huggies

This is my very first lab diamond band and it was a total impulse buy! The price was just too good to pass up and I'm so glad I took a chance because I freaking LOVE it!! I prefer full eternity bands to half because I hate looking down and seeing it twisted, but this 3/4 is totally acceptable. I find it super comfortable and I love the way it looks stacked! It's a size 6.5 for reference.

And those sapphire earrings are the fastest items I've ever received from Sam, they musta been in stock because they shipped and arrived faster than the last ring I purchased, which just shipped Saturday. I suck at taking pics of my ears but these are gonna get a TON of wear, I bought them to wear with the chonky Samstin sapphire necklace.

I love sparkly goodies sooooo much!

First order with Jay Lux

This was a super easy transaction, Jay was lovely to work with, answered my questions promptly, got QC pics to me within a couple days. Started the conversation on June 14, and received the package on July 3. I'm incredibly pleased but more importantly my husband loves them!!

Hexagon Moissanite Tennis Bracelet

Just want to recommend this bracelet and AliExpress seller, Golden Desire Store.

I'm so pleased with the product and the service. An alternating hexagon tennis bracelet in sterling silver (can get in gold plate as well.l). It's absolutely stunning, comfortable and priced very reasonably. I love the geometric shapes next to more traditional ones. The clasp is very secure and sleek, and it came as fast as anything can come to the USA from China. The seller also packages like they're a high end store on 5th Avenue: I'm talking boxes, a gift bag, blank thank you cards for gifting--phenomenal service!

Question about first order

Hello! Thanks to this sub I placed my first order with a rep on Sunday. Stupidly, I didn't ask, (it was late in China and didn't want to keep them from sleep) generally how long can I expect to wait for QC pics, and shipping? Already paid. Thanks!

Small haul of older pieces!

A few I'd been wanting for a while and finally got.

  1. 2CT jubilee white Moissanite ring. This is like having a sparkly ice cube on your finger. This cut is absolutely mesmerizing! The bubble band is very dainty, this is by far the largest stone I've ever had on such a thin band and I plan on being super careful. But damn it's pretty!

https://imgur.com/a/NxFdYB7

  1. 4CT bezel huggies. I can already tell these are gonna be daily workhorses! They might be the perfect pair of earrings.

  2. 2CT rose cut alexandrite (Luximagic).
I've been curious about this forever and hesitated because there were no review pics, and because I have a rose cut amethyst and it's beautiful but it doesn't "sparkle" like white stones. However, I now have plenty of white rose cut items and other alexandrites and decided to take a chance. I love it. It's very hard to photograph, but it's moody and ethereal and instead of the intense color change of some alexandrite, this gives off a teal "glow." It's so unique. (The station chain is mine, the one it comes with is very yawn inducing lol)

Today's rings!

No color today so this is kind of demure for me. 😂 But I just got the thick 5mm gold filled band and it was so perfect for what I wanted, and I found an old faceted moonstone I forgot I had (with big crack I found though 😢) so wanted to share. If anyone wants a basic gold FILLED band, I highly recommend this, or any of the ones they sell. Marked appropriately too.

Life hack for earrings you don't wear!

Or those pairs that you lost one--turn it into a pendant or charm! I used to wear these martini Sugarfix/BaubleBar type earrings all the time and just don't anymore. My earlobes are starting to sag and as I get older they just feel annoying to wear. But I pulled out this quarter zip and thought....I have an idea! I keep a supply of lobster clasps and simple jewelry tools, which is all you need to pull off the earring post and add a clasp and viola! A new charm!

I swore I wasn't gonna order much

I "need" nothing. At this point I'm collecting shiny things like a raccoon drawn to a trap. But the sale prices are just too good. Now once again I'm gonna camp out on my porch for a month. 😂

Kuololit/Samstin in the wild

Just love styling my pieces everyday. Today I'm loving the OEC bypass ring stacked with the gray cushion. ❤️ What pieces do you wear daily?
